Glass Memory Jar £2 at Poundland

11
Found 16th Nov
I spotted this today and it’s surprisingly very nice and good quality, I wouldn’t ever guess this was a Poundland special, this is something I’d expect to see in Clinton’s

This would make a great gift for a new / expecting parent, maybe someone getting married.

And yes it’s Poundland and yes it’s £2

What memories would one store in a Jar?

I made one of these when our daughter was born. You write down nice memories like a trip to the park or baby's first words etc and put it in a jar and then when you have a bad day and the baby's been sick on your best jumper and won't go to sleep, you pull out a memory and it reminds you of a good time and helps you get through the day.

If i got this as a gift i'd make sure the person remembered never to get me anything similar again. tat.

Careful, one break will shatter your memories forever.

I'd expect the Jam still in it for this price.

Ahhhh that’s sweet! Not the vomit bit obviously

I think it’s nice for new babies or as a wedding gift to look through on your anniversary. I think they’re quite popular with teenagers too

I wouldn't need to write any of them down as they are ingrained into my brain even 19 years after the events!

Could be used for a person who suffers with dementia to re-jog their memories of an event or if they are recently diagnosed to fill it with memories or thoughts that they have. maybe even a keep sake for family members who they will leave behind. Just a thought as someone with a family member currently suffering with it.

Sorry to hear that Smudge, it must be very hard

Its not too hard to be honest, I just except that the Nan i knew isn't really there any more, I feel for her more than i do myself. That probably sounds a bit cold but i have my memories of her and how she was and that's just how it is.
