Was looking for a spare glasses in case the one I'm wearing decides to break. Tried to buy from SelectSpecs since they were doing a promo now but they wont take my prescription.

Glasses comes with free basic prescription lenses and they accepted my prescription which stands at -6.75. Pretty good for someone who needs a spare pair of glasses but cant find any cheap ones that will take their higher than normal prescription.

Remember to use 50% off code JAN50

Hi quick question. Did they advise you on frames that will suit high prescriptions? Thanks

Not sure but am guessing all frames are available for high prescriptions? Got the cheapest frame for £15 and it put me through to checkout.

Thanks OP ordered

Ordered one with ultra thin glasses. Total price £41.75 including delivery. Cheapest I could find. Thanks OP.

nice mate.. just had free eye test today and grabbed this one....

Please be aware not all frames are suitable for all prescriptions. If your prescription is high and the frame you choose is too wide, the lenses will be super thick! Just want you to be aware as I've made that mistake before. Much better going into an optical store. Check around for deals, I always find Specsavers have the best offers/prices x

Bargain! Got the style of glasses I wanted for my terrible -6.5 prescription for £11.25 delivered. Happy face! Thank you!

I use glasses for reading and also have to use glasses when using computer. Which one to choose from between Reading and Computer?

Awesome, how long will this 50% off last ? Thanks

Nice one. Never bought glasses online before but I'm tempted...

1 x DS Collection CP191
Your lens type is: Singlevision
You chose the following package: Platinum

And how much you paid:

Item Cost: £22.50
Delivery: £3.95
Total: £26.45

Discount: 50.00%

The only pair I have could snap anytime. 1 pair sorted for now while I peruse for another one preferably rimless.

Have bought from these twice before and found quality & styles excellent; however delivery can be a bit slow so not if you're in a hurry.

Used to get topcashback/quidco at good rates; currently cashback doesn't seem available (but at £11.45, who cares?). Got a decent rate via imutual.co.uk/ in late November; waiting for my 5th and 6th pairs to arrive now. Decent prices for varifocals/tints/photochromic compared to most. I'd recommend them, with the above caveat.

akheiraxJan Try a varifocal it combines both reading and computer with the bonus fact that you don't need to take them off when looking in the distance.

Ordered! Good spot op, must've been wearing your glasses

Thanks for this find, I ordered some for £11.45, even if they are rubbish it's always good to have a backup

Thats an extra £+95. I'll call them tomorrow to check bout this and see if just using the computer one I ordered is also good for reading.

Brilliant.., just ordered myself a pair of McQueen and Gucci... Just need my Chanel pair and I'm all good for glasses...

Great deal, thanks

Thanks OP. Just ordered 2 pairs for the total sum of £21.45. Not too much of a gamble!

I did notice that the original pair I had my eye on went out of stock during the time I was deliberating.

Excellent deal - HOT, HOT !! thank you for posting :-) Just bought a pair, great find :-)

I keep a snap of my prescription on my phone and pc so I always have it at hand and know where it is.

Beware of cheap glasses, a lot of them can cause headaches and damage eyesight further.

Direct sight don't get great reviews, although they have a service to try frames which they scored points for.

Isn't there an On-Spec near you?

Brill! Thanks. Saved myself quite a bit. 13.95 for a pair!

A lot of glasses are even '2 for 1' and with 50% off that you could get £100's worth of glasses for £25. Crazy.

Bargain, just ordered mine. Heat given

If you look at the reviews, it seems most of the negative ones are order delivery problems rather than quality of glasses issues. I think this article is basically trying to line the pockets of the rip-off merchant opticians on the high street. You'll be hard pressed to find a pair of glasses plus lenses less than £100 which quite frankly is ridiculous money to pay for a plastic frames.

Most the time such offers are frames only and therefore represent merely a partial discount. I just ordered two pairs and I can confirm the 50% was lopped off the total amount.

can anyone tell me if you can have a slight prism with the lenses as I can't see an option? It is a very slight prism so I can't see it being a problem but I want to make sure
