Will take a look at local. Cheers
The Glenallachie Distillery Edition (was also a Pernod Ricard distillery edition release) was absolutely stunning at the same price! If that is anything to go by then this could also be an absolute steal! Would love to know how this compares.
That's a steal £35 on amazon. Heat.
Never heard of glen Keith, is it exclusive to co op?

Never heard of glen Keith, is it exclusive to co op?

From The Whisky Exchange site: A comparatively modern distillery, Glen Keith (also known as Glen Keith-Glenlivet and Glenkeith) was established in Keith, Banffshire in 1957 by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Seagram, with construction finishing in 1960. Glen Keith originally practised triple-distillation, which was very unusual for a Scotch whisky, and even more so for a Speyside.

Glen Keith's output is mostly used for blended whisky, such as Chivas Regal, and is sometimes available from independent bottlers. Distilleries like this have begun to release their own, normally NAS, single malts due to the ever growing popularity of single malts.
Triple distilled, american oak, 40% sounds familiar only the auchentoshen is aged 10 years, still takes like vodka.
I bought a bottle of this over Christmas from the co-op, I hadn't heard of it before so didn't have high expectations given that there's no age stated, so is likely a blend of mostly younger malts. It's pretty nice stuff - smooth with no unpleasant aftertaste, goes down a treat. It won't challenge Glenlivet 12, Aberlour 12 or Balvenie, but then it's a lot cheaper. Definitely one of the nicest whiskies you can get for £20. Would prefer this to Glenlivet Founder's Reserve personally.
