DISTILLED AND MATURED IN THE VALLEY OF THE DEER where the distillery has stood SINCE 1887.

Over time our signature malt develops complex rounded flavours with elegant notes of fresh pear and subtle oak.

In 1886 William Grant set out to create the "best dram in the valley". Within a year he had built his distillery in The Glen of Fiddich, Gaelic for The Valley of the Deer. The first spirit flowed from the stills on Christmas Day 1887.

The "best dram in the valley" still flows four generations later. The Grant family and the community of expert craftsmen at The Glenfiddich Distillery continue William Grant's original philosophy, preserving time honoured methods as well as exploring new possibilities in single malt Scotch whisky making.

The Glenfiddich 12 Year Old is our signature single malt Scotch whisky. Made by the Distiller of the Year 2005 and 2006, Glenfiddich 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been awarded a gold medal by the prestigious international Wine and Spirit Competition.

Just got a bottle at Asda coupon worked ok

This is a way better deal compared to the JD crap at £18 !

Good price - heat added. No doubt there'll be plenty of people forgetting that this is a deal website not a product review site though.

£20 in Morrisons without a voucher, good deal for a fairly decent malt!

How you can compare JD, an American Burbon, with Glenfiddich, a Scottich single malt, is beyond me do you have any taste buds?

This was the price that most commercially popular single malts were until not that long ago. Suddenly supermarkets almost double the price, tell us how generous they are to us customers, and loads of people are excited about it.

caddyroo has already stated that they consider JD to be crap and that Glenfiddich is superior, so I'm not quite sure why you are questioning their taste.

The same you way you can compare cauliflower with kobe beef.

Why bring Burbon into a whiskey thread? Its like someone posting a deal for coke and someone else saying oh this is better than the Fanta crap that was posted earlier. They arent the same.

And the benifit of comparing the 2 is what?

Both are edible, beef is tastier. Bourbon and single malt are both 'drinkable', single malt is better. Subjectively objectively.

There is as much variety in bourbon as there is in whisky. Its a different product, and to be honest JD is not that good.

Anyway the best whisky is one where they take all the best whisky's and blend them together into a super whisky, such as famous grouse!

I'll think you will find he was comparing the deal not the product, but the Yanks sure can screw up a whisky.....they even put an "E" in it!!! (_;)

Whether it is a hot deal or not, very much relates to the quality of the product in question.

Good observation. Malt has rocketed in price during the past 12 months for no apparent reason.

Glenfiddich 15 year old is interesting because when they mature it they add in a little more fresh from the stills and take out an equal measure of the old stuff periodically, they dont do this on the 12 or 21 so it makes the 15 kinda interesting like i said but the 12 is good on its own for a sip.

Nice whisky for £16. Thats in the blended price range, hot!

As per Coupon T&C print copy of the coupon is not accepted. How do we use coupon in store then?

mmmmm!!

Excellent price for a very average malt. Heat added.

Just bought a bottle, used the voucher without a problem. Thanks.

Just got back from asda, voucher was accepted fine.

Thanks OP

oh and thanks OP ;-)

Nice price, great malt (made just up the road), have some heat.

Expired now. Just been there

yeah glenfiddich back up to 32 quid now, anyone know what supermarkets have it on offer?

This is one i've never tried before. My favourites are the Irish Whiskey's, in particular Bushmils, 10, 16 and 21 yr old, although, when it comes to the peated stuff, it's hard to beat the Ardbeg 10 yr old. I saw this offer on here for the Glenfiddich 12 yr old and thought i'd give it a go. Very pleasant, a bit sweeter than the Bushmills 10 yr old but still quite pleasant.

The bonus was in my local Asda store in Downpatrick County Down, the litre bottle was incorrectly marked as £18. I went to the till and was charged full price for it, I pointed out the mistake and they honoured the price, refunded the difference on my card. I was very happy with that!!
