World's most awarded single malt scotch whisky

Single malt scotch whisky

Our Signature Malt
The pioneer of the single malt scotch whisky category, our signature malt has smooth elegant notes of fresh pear and subtle oak. Its 12 year maturation in the finest Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, prior to being married together in oak tuns, creates a smooth, harmonious taste.

Our History
In 1886, William Grant fulfilled a lifelong ambition by building his own distillery. He named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer, and on Christmas Day 1887 the first drop flowed from the stills.
Today, still owned by William Grant's family, Glenfiddich is the world's leading single malt.

Our Awards
Since 2000, Glenfiddich has received more awards than any other single malt Scotch Whisky at the International Spirits Challenge and International Wine and Spirit Competition.

Not bad price. Thanks
Any reasons why this is cold, it usually retails for £34 and this is a saving of £9.
A bargain I think.

This whisky is never a £34.00 malt whisky. It is the same as the cheap wine deals with an alleged reduction.

Now, whisky is all down to personal opinion and personal likes and dislikes about flavours. I do not rate this particular Glenfiddich but then I tend to like stronger flavoured whisky, e.g, Aberlour A'bunadh which is cask strength, heavily sherried and £34 from Ocado. Glenfiddich's 21 yr old finished in Cuban rum casks is a joy - at a price.
With this Glenfiddich you are paying for the advertising I am afraid.
I am currently sipping an Old Pulteney which, at £23 is, in my opinion, a superior whisky, as indeed is Sainsburys own brand.
Highland malt.
The bottom line though is that this is not a genuine reduction.
Don't be downhearted, people are very cold on whisky deals here. I put up Teacher's cooking scotch for eleven quid, got hammered and I hadn't even had a drink.
A very respectable price.
Good deal
