Glenlivet Nadurra 16yr old Single Malt Whisky - reduced from £47 to £40 at Waitrose.
This is a high scoring single malt bottled at 55.2%

The cheapest I can find it online is at the Whisky Exchange for £42.45 + postage. So this is quite a saving.

Wow

Gorgeously delicious drop of heaven

Not a bad deal at all, but I don't know if the majority of HUKD users are going to view £40> single malts as good deals.

I guess it depends how you measure a deal.
If it's by a % saving then it should be hot, but if it's overall cost then I agree with you, it will be cold.
In any case for those who like a quality Single Malt it's worth sharing.

Absolutely agree and it's heat from me all the way. A quality dram is always going to be pricey, but if I can save a few quid along the way then that's fine by me!

Tried this at the Midlands whisky festival last month and it was beautiful.

Great whisky at cheapest price available, how could it not be hot? I think this is cask strength too, so getting on for the equivalent alcohol content of a litre of an average malt.

I think it's because lots of people don't like whisky, so they immediately vote it cold. I've given up worrying about the hot/cold rankings, just happy to share the deals with fellow single malt fans.

for who like wisky this is a must, proper spirit,is burning all your negative thoughts from first shot

Wow 54.2% that is going to have a bit of a kick, reminds me of this.

very good deal though have some heat.

This is a genuinely good deal. Quality malts like this are very rarely on offer

I just bought a couple of bottles of this, and I've found that Waitrose's website is wrong, it's not 54.2% ABV it's 55.2% !!
I've corrected my original post to reflect this.

Thanks, picked up a bottle for my mates 40th
