Nice one MikeT voted hot and saved a few posts!

Looks like it's dead already Mike, can't even find this one searching for the product code.

Some of Dell's upgrade prices can make you wince. £70 for 500GB of storage! You can get 1TB for less than that.

I presume it means to sell it on eBay for a profit.

This glitch appears to work for a number of vostros including laptops

Original Poster

I only listed the bottom end price deals where the savings were above 6%. You may find that using it on a hi priced deal and using a coupon may save you something too.

BUT the links don't even work!

Yeah its working fine, right through to checkout.

Any idea of what graphic card iis included, and the PSU wattage, if I were to put a new graphic card in?

Thanks

I don't think it's a Glitch though ?

By opting for the McAfee 30 day trial (and saving £19.95) you are actually losing 15 months of full Trend Micro cover)

There is'nt one - this is a cheap basic spec office / internet spec

Press continue twice and it works.

To give some reasurance to sabz, I was also having trouble getting the "Continue" button to work.

Further to mikeypr's question, is it possible to add a graphics card at a later date to Dells, along with another stick of RAM? - I notice they offer an upgrade to 3GB but not to 4GB, what gives?

There's a PCI-E x16 graphics slot free, so adding a video card should be feasible. I don't know the PSU wattage, so I'd suggest exercising some restraint on card spec.

With a 32 bit OS, there's little point installing more than 3GB of RAM, so to save annoying support calls, they sell it with 3GB.

I read on another post that it has a 245W PSU which i'm lead to believe is diddly. Dell offer the option of adding a graphics card so I was wondering specifically, if the PCIe slot is accessible once the computer has been sent to you. The cheaper card they offer 512MB G310 is £70 as an upgrade but one sold on ebay for £20 recently and I could do with the extra 50 pounds myself if possible!

The slot should be accessible.

A 245 Watt PSU should cope with a 100W or so graphics card. (leaving 100W for the CPU, HD etc.) That's enough graphics card for casual gaming, and you'd not be buying this PC spec for serious game playing.

For web browsing, you tube, photoshop etc, the built in graphics will be fine anyway.

It’s 300W. To get the specs for any Dell go to the main page for the model and click on the Tech Specs tab - www1.euro.dell.com/uk/…=mn

Hi guys i'm considering this deal but can anyone tell me if this is better spec than my current dell studio hybrid with intel core duo T5750 2.0 ghz, 2gb ram ? thx

I love some of the lame 'I dont know anything about computer' questions. They are brilliant.

50 % faster processor. Personally I'd probably not bother, it shouldn't feel hugely faster unless there's something wring with your current machine.

I can't see any DVI or HDMI outputs in the TechSpec ?
