Glitch??? Silver Cross Surf 3 Pram and Pushchair - £495 @ Winstanleys Pramworld

Found 20th Jul 2017
I hunted all over for the new Silver Cross Surf 3 and was coming up with prices from £800 to £845 for the pram and pushchair.

I then found one website which had the red and yellow versions with £150 off but they had the blue version with £300 off, costing £495! now I think this may be a glitch as the advert states Surf 3 (I have ordered and received the Surf 3 with the spare wheel to convert it to a 3 wheel rather than a 4 wheel). I think they have the old Surf 2 cost code attributed to this product so it might be a glitch;

Silver Cross Surf Graphite Chassis - Sky Blue silver-cross-surf-2-graphite-chassis-sky-blue 1 £495.00
Silver Cross Surf 3 Graphite Chassis
1 x Silver Cross Surf 3 Chassis - Graphite 39804
1 x Silver Cross Surf 3 Seat Unit & Carrycot - Graphite 39805
1 x Silver Cross Surf Hood & Apron Pack - Sky Blue/Graphite 39930

Subtotal £495.00
Delivery & Handling £0.00

In addition I found the car seat for £80 instead of £150 (in yellow only) at;

silvercrossbaby.com/our…ow/

And to help with the compromise of going for blue, I found the hood and apron sets reduced from £150 to £75 on the silver cross site or to £30 in babies r us! for black, sand, red and yellow. Ensure you only get the ones saying Surf 2 or with graphite in the colour options as these are compatible with the Surf 3;

toysrus.co.uk/bab…797

In total this travel system should have cost us £1145 (pram/pushchair system, car seat, spare hood and apron) but we have paid £605. Nearly half price!

This site has a lot of items reduced! I purchased a Nuna Sena Mini which was £120 everywhere & got it for £50 from them!!

Agree. No other site or shop came close. The cheapest I could find was the Surf 2 (older model) with a car seat for £699, still £125 more than I paid for the car seat and Surf 3.
500 clams for a pram.
Seems a lot for a pram to me - but it has the word 'glitch' in the title with the usual excessive amount of question/exclamation marks so its definitely a good deal.

hahaha Ian! it is a lot to pay, I would say it is a high end pram at a mid range price. This is of course only my opinion and others are available and cheaper but I was specifically after this Silver Cross pram. And for this Silver Cross model it's nearly half price so good in my book.
sorry i'm just in a bit of a daft mood today. Voted hot anyway:)
I love this site bought brand new silver cross couple year back £210! They were selling everywhere else £500+

Prams are very much a status symbol, especially for your first. At the end of the day, all the kids end up in a buggy you can unfold whilst holding a two year old having a tantrum. Everyone wants the best for their baby and there is nothing wrong with that but sometimes the high end expensive ones don't fit your lifestyle. I went to a barnardos recently with my sister who wanted to pick up a couple of bits for soon to be born grandchild to keep at granny's house. This was a shop which specialised in baby stuff and I was gobsmacked at the amount of virtually unused stuff in there: prams which were pristine that were hundreds brand new available for peanuts. The good thing is, someone on a real budget could pick up this stuff if they were really struggling. I've also got a £300 maclaren pushchair in my garage to take to her which is mint but was given away free. For those north of the border, the shop is in Linlithgow.
thats a brilliant price for the surf 3,we paid over £1000 and had to pay extra for the jogger wheel the graphite colour chassis etc
It will be the colour that has been reduced as silver cross are always bringing out newer versions of the colour packs.
can't add it to the basket

I'm sure your baby appreciates all those expensive extras.
