Hot as a hot thing can be!!

I've been away for 3 days bitty (Portugal), what have I missed?
brill
Waiting out for the Mi 9T Pro 128gb heading below £300 but I might have snapped this up had it have been Global Version.
Great price all the same!
I have an impression that it's not the price that drops a little bit over and over, but just GBP exchange rate went a bit higher. It was posted as £203 or so just a couple of days earlier from the same seller.

Xiaomi announcing Mi Mix Alpha 12 noon GMT this Tuesday?
Great find, @MrSwitch ! Have some heat. This is the Outfit we've purchased all our Xiaomi Devices from - the most recent one being the 6/128 Mi Max 3. Definitely recommend them. The Mi Max 3 came with Official Global ROM pre-installed and for those of you reticent about purchasing Devices that aren't Official Global, purchasing them from a reputable Seller is recommended. Took 14 days from them dispatching it to me having it in my grubby little paw! They put $19 Value on the Package, so no Customs Duty. They also sent it via Singapore - took 5 days from leaving Singapore to landing in the UK.

Sorry mate
What's difference between global version and global ROM installed? This has B20 right?

Global version = different bands then the Chinese version

Global rom = PlayStore included which is in contrast to the non global rom which only has the Mi Store (although you could add the PlayStore yourself)

B20 = Yes
Thanks - so the bootloader is likely to be unlocked meaning Google play won't work?

But any ROM could be installed instead if you wanted?
@MrSwitch sorry hijack slightly but have you heard any real news on the Mi9 Pro ahead of the launch on the 24th ? Prices, specs etc

All versions if the Mix 2s have Band 20 for 4G. The difference is that the Global rom version is the China version that's had the Global firmware flashed. This means that the box will be unsealed and the bootloader may be unlocked. If the BL is unlocked, many banking apps won't work, along with Google Pay. Also, the phone location feature won't work if you should lose your device. The Global version will have the Global firmware flashed in the factory, the BL will be locked, so banking apps and Google Pay will work perfectly, and the box will likely be sealed.
Heat added, nice time in Portugal?any decent phones there
Any good phones with good camera for under £200 please @MrSwitch

Yes likely the bootloader is unlocked already. This could be an issue with certain apps as mentioned by the other user, namely Pokemon Go, Google Pay or banking apps.

However in my experience apps usually do not check the bootloader status, and I've had no problems in passing safetynet.

Yes other ROMs (check XDA Forums) can be installed. You may also want to flash Magisk for root access.

Basically improves everything that was wrong with the mi 9. Namely a bigger battery, more storage options, 5G included now, and a slightly better processor, I haven't seen prices yet, but at a guess I'd say a bit more than the mix 3 5G on launch, so over £700 - £800 uk pricing.

Will it be better than s6edge camera?

I'd say it would at this point, yeah.
sharif7623/09/2019 07:21

Yes

I reckon you'll love the mi 9t. Go for it, honestly, there isn't a better phone in that price range atm.

Wow you think that much ? I was expecting something closer to the £500 mark - This could put me off and see me looking back to an S10 or a standard Mi9 imported (if i see another under the £300 mark)

Is the MI9 likely to get MIU11 ? I am not sure i can go without the app drawer and having a messy page of apps (even if they are in folders

Yeah, the mix 3 is still £749 at its cheapest, so the pro will be the same if not more I think

I'd imagine the 9 getting 11, as its still a fairly recent release
