Discount code for first time buyers only
If it wasn't for the evil threat of customs I'd have snapped this up !
Crazy price
Heat added @devinn excellent price.
Pretty incredible for top specs - 12GB and 512GB storage as well.
12GB RAM doubt will even use half of that.
Amazing price but wont be too long before the Global Version is this price IMO. Until I got the Mi 8 Id never had an Amoled display before but would find it difficult to buy a mobile without it now. Love the always on function.

Heat added.

Bought one of these 2 months ago... Great phone. Just disappointed it hasn't got the TV remote like a previous Xiaomi phone I've had and a TF card slot (yes I know it's got 512 ROM , just quicker to transfer music easier with a card.)
Premium Edition*
Be aware Google pay doesn't work on these phones, because bootloader unlocked for them to flash global rom onto it.

I personally tried but gave up, there are work arounds but too complicated for me

Awesome price for phone if you don't need things like Google pay

My only* frustration with this phone so far is USB2.0; it tops out at about 30MB/s which is great until you need to transfer GBs of files. Other high-end phones like the OnePlus 7 come with USB3.0. I know it's not a USB stick but I commonly run large downloads on it; a phone is superior in energy efficiency compared to a desktop. In theory I can get 50MB/s+ over my router but in practice it turned out to be even slower than USB2.0; I'm suspecting my powerline adapter is the bottleneck.

Not sure why archaic MTP is still in use also; it craps out if you do more than one thing at once. And is notoriously slow for transferring things like thousands of pictures.
*the contoured screen edges were also a minor pain in the butt - screen protectors don't play nice along the edges.

... Good phone though .

Reflash the original ChineseROM and lock the bootloader. Then just download Google Play from the Xiaomi app store and add all your Google stuff.
I'm using Google Pay on a Chinese K20 Pro, without a problem.
Simple really. Don't let it put you off bargain Chinese imports.
Cracking price and just in the colour I wanted.
I must resist.
This phone look stunning spec wise
Sorry for silly question but is this the same as xiaomi mi 9t Pro?

No, I paid £20 DHL fee. Two consignment numbers in a overall consignment of about 15 parcels sent which meant it was tracked all the way. Arrived in 10 days but was slightly concerned because it said it had been signed for... But this was the signature at the UK depot near the O2 arena... Then it arrived 24 hours later. Not sure what it would have been without... Sixty odd quid possibly?
