As always with Aliexpress purchases, I urge you not to go ahead if you require the comfort of warranty, if you're not OK that there may be extra charges to pay, I'd advise paying by credit card for full coverage, and check the returns procedure in advance as well

Nice!
This company is a proper joke I've got this phone through their website a week ago no email about the dispatch whatsoever think I'm going to cancel the order. Terrible customer service. They literally don't respond to emails I sent 4 already and nothing

Xblue Store?
Still holding out for a black shark 3 pro though Mr s?
Great deal @MrSwitch

I was looking at this the other day.

It's £539 on their UK website.

uk.redmagic.gg/pag…-5g

I was put off by some of the reviews though. There's a lot of people saying they're having problems with the OS and a lot of peculiar quirks are popping up.

It's a crazy amount of phone for the money though, so it is tempting.

I've never really looked tbh. (at reviews I mean) I saw flossy Carter review, but no long term ones.

Off I go to watch some

Fingerprint sensor not working - uk.pcmag.com/sma…-5g

"Red Magic OS" is terrible - androidpolice.com/202…ic/

Can't change the default launcher - forum.xda-developers.com/nub…965

Most reviews and discussions about it talk about how much of a mess the software side is and it doesn't look like there's been any updates yet.

He does, I agree 1,000,000%

Agreed. Especially as he buys all the equipment for himself (except for a few loaners). In contrast, some of the larger channels get given phones months in advance and then only produce a five minute video.

My tech channel only has 10,000 subs, but I've had to spend tens of thousands to get to this point. It's a huge grind to get to his level, so I have nothing but respect for the work he does.

He's not a sellout either, which is not something you can say about a lot of top tech YouTubers.

Probably what people said when xiaomi first dropped. Or any other Chinese phone maker for that matter, nubia has been around for a while, and this is around the 5th iteration of the red magic series, so unproven I don't think is the correct word!

Lets hope Nubia don't do a Xiaomi and release a new phone every 2 weeks.
Wow what a beast!

I think Nubia are owned by ZTE. So a pretty big company behind it.
Is there any custom rom support with nubia?

Nubia is pretty well know. They get reviewed regularly if you are into tharf
At least £586 if you add VAT which you could be charged, plus any duty/courier admin fees, so bear that in mind.

Heads up review, comparing RedMagic 5G vs Black Shark 3 Pro vs ROG Phone 2 AnTuTu Benchmark Test >

Oh and apparently this phone doesn't have NFC! according to Chris's review, but gsmarena says it does, whose right?

It's a new brand, but ZTE have been around since the 80s and have been releasing phones since the 2000s.

Granted, ZTE are also the creators of the worst Android phone I've ever owned
Ordered - cheers @MrSwitch

The UK website suggest it does but that might be the UK variant only
