Not if you get any charges

It's unlikely. But of course it is possible. I'm not denying that
Voted hot but even though it's got band 20, I'm not convinced its a fully global version. If you read the item description it says the updated ROM may not recieve OTA updates. I would of snapped this up

No. That's that X2 Pro with Snapdragon 855+. I have a deal posted for that too

This this the standard X2
Is realme still prevent users from rooting their phones for some reason? Slightly fishy unless it’s changed.

This, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Mi 9 Lite are the best for this price range imo

I think you can. If you Google Realme root XDA they will have more info than me

So many phones at this value makes you wonder why people spend £800+ on a phone.
(I got a mate 20 pro) nothing I tested seems worth the upgrade

The expression more money than sense comes to mind

I have an Honor View 10. I think I'll hold on for a 5G Phone now once there's a few options below £400

Sam will come on here extolling the virtues of mimo as apparently 5g improves 4g signal to a point that is unrecognisable. Personally I can't imagine it is worth the premium, but what do I know?

I have the P30 Pro and the X2 Pro (loaned to me for work) - While I completely agree it seems mad to pay £800 when a phone like the X2 Pro sells for half the price, you do make some compromises. In particular, the overall camera quality is not as good, most people won't care, but I have completely ditched point and shoot cameras this year, and the P30 Pro is able to produce superb photos in most conditions, while the X20 Pro doesn't. In particular the night time performance is where it struggles in comparison. Plus zoom, but I regard that as less important.

The X2 Pro is awesome though and I thouroughly recomend it.
I agree brackon82
Most people use there phone as a main camera now that they are just that good .
I tried 2 of the supposed great Xiaomi phones and they where ok to use, but the camera's are totally useless.
Using the S10 plus at the minute and it's a great camera , and still using my old faithful iphone 7 plus and that's 3 years old now and produces really nice pictures and still has far superior cameras than the well loved UKHOTDEALS favourite Xiaomi phones . Just dont see why people love them . Price maybe!

Peace of mind is worth it IMHO & £10 less if you have a currency credit card. Mine arrived in 2days from Realme.

I agree you have to make some compromises but I paid £280 for my mate 20 pro and everything is excellent on it for my needs. I even prefer the camera on it to my girlfriends iPhone 11 pro although that's just me personally. I'll wait for the mate 30 Pro to drop below £400 and go for that
Why this over a mi 9t?
spammy03/11/2019 10:11

Why this over a mi 9t?

Realised you meant the non pro now. Please ignore what I said originally. I've replied again about the non pro.

Neither this, the Mi 9T or the 9T pro have IR blasters or wireless charging. That's the original Mi 9 that has those
Edited by: "AndersJ" 3rd Nov
What about the non pro 9t which appears to be similarly priced?

8GB and 760G makes this a better bet?

The x2 pro is has the 90hz refresh, this is the model down from that so direct have that our the same rapid charging. Still charges very fast though (30w I think)

I would personally prefer this to the Mi 9T (non pro)

They have the same processor 730G

This has micro SD support which the 9T lacks, has better video and audio quality in recordings from the phone and slightly faster charging. They are very comparable though.

Check out Techtablets YouTube reviews of them both or look up their specs on GSMarena Here

Yes. It is 30Watts. Fastest in this price range. For comparison the Mi 9T (non pro) is 18Watts

I guess your totally correct about price!
My Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro lasts 2 days before needing a charge ( unlike Iphone 7 plus as daughter has hers constantly on charge! ) , camera picture quality in daylight is about the same as my daughter's iPhone 7 plus ( to be fair iPhone is better at nighttime pictures ) but I don't take a lot of nighttime pic's.....
And I've got about £500 left over to spend on DSLR camera if I want David Bailey quality pictures lol ....

If the cameras on these didn't work at all (which is what you seem to be saying) I doubt people would still buy Xiaomi phones.

Watch any tech review on most Xiaomi phones on YouTube.
They all say hardware is good , but the cameras let them down when comparing to flagship phones .

That's where Gcam ports come in handy
Not sure why this thread has gone down the camera route..... As NO camera on a phone is going to be any good compared to a real optical zoom £75 camera. Remember your buying a phone with a camera and not a camera with a phone bolted on. I think some people need to look into Xiaomi's background and business ethos. Then they might realize why all of there products are such good value! As fablanta said, people wouldn't still buy them if they were no good. I'm on my 2 Xiaomi and have never had any issues with them at all. Obviously I can only go on my own experience and everyone to there own as it were.
It's lunacy to pay a £400 premium for an "amazing" phone camera. No camera that small will ever compare with the sensor size, lenses, etc on a DSLR. Cameras on mid-range phones these days are good enough for the casual snapshots you'll need, especially with Gcam. If you're serious about photography get a real camera.

Worth paying that for it to support all European networks, unlike the global version, and have no risk of customs fees.
