As always with Aliexpress purchases, I urge you not to go ahead if you require the comfort of warranty, if you're not OK that there may be extra charges to pay, I'd advise paying by credit card for full coverage, and check the returns procedure in advance as well

This is a steal of a price for a very good phone.

I had one for a couple of months last year. performance was excellent, obviously, battery life also very good. screen was decent, no notch, and with the design it got comments everywhere I went.

Camera wasn't quite as good as the Mi 9 (which I had at the same time, obvs, so did side by side comparisons) but still capable of very good photos mostof the time and let's face it, you don't buy this phone for the camera

@MrSwitch it's almost like you know I'm getting that "I want a new phone" itch...
better performance, better battery life. much much bigger. on balance, camera is at least as good as the S8 if not slightly better. No NFC, deal breaker for some.

(weird, someone asked how this compared to the Galaxy S8, then deleted the question before I submitted the response! ;))

Hi Switchy, this is your second Shark post of the day, so peeps Chews wisely and as always a fin-tastic deal
I was tempted until I realised most high end Xiaomi phones dont have micro sd slots on them which is a shame.Strangely most of the midrangers do.

Nice, gave me a chuckle
Another good deal @MrSwitch, however, it's been 2 days since your posted a watch! Is there nothing about? I need to buy something! GT2 prices seem unusually high.

Thank you so much for this info! This met everything I was looking for except the camera or else I would have pulled the trigger
Lack of NFC was only reason I didn't get it. Heat added it's a steal of a price. And they show for OnePlus how to make affordable beast.

Am I right in thinking these don't have Google play store on them or is that a different maker / issue been solved?

Lets try again...

Smartphone? Surely at 7.10" this is a tablet that can make calls?
@MrSwitch you may be able to help, I've been looking for a phone with 90Hz or above screen refresh rate with 128gb storage minimum under £300 that's available in the UK, but I'm struggling. Most are available in India such as Realme 6 Pro. But nothing in the UK. Can you help please?

Does it have to be a new phone?
IBadAss15/04/2020 13:33

Yes preferably

Realme 6 is on preorder on their European website.

Why not just order the Realme 6 from the UK Realme website? Looks to be £269 for the 8GB/128GB version.

True, I might just do that. Would have preferred the pro, not sure why that's not dropping.

Well spotted re Chinese version, I didn't even realise until you pointed it out.

It's cheaper than the one on the Realme UK shop by £69.

Are there issues with buying from AliExpress? With regards to stuff not turning up, extra customs to pay, etc?

Its always a risk, if you did go she's just make sure to pay by credit card bud, and there's always the possibility of extra charges. The most I've ever had for a phone was £14

Darn, that's me out too then. My s9+ is being sooo slow at loading google (just the webpage) and edge browser freezing, so was hoping the snapdragon upgrade would be great but alas no nfc is a deal breaker. Also the camera isn't as good so boo.
