Choose free delivery, and choose black, the white version is £8 more expensive.

Cheapest I've found it. Don't forget to go through the cashback websites to get around £19 back.

Aliexpress are pretty good at paying out, for me anyway.

Don't forget customs.

This phone has band 20 as well.

Great price for a flagship phone.

So this goes cold, a brand new absolutely amazing phone, and a grade c Samsung galaxy s9 for £400 I post goes hot. Haha weird and wonderful place hukd.

I'm now gonna get people saying that the Samsung is in the UK blah blah blah
Is it me or are Chinese phones getting more expensive?
You get 2 years warranty on Samsung phones. If something goes wrong with your mi mix, then who's the winner?
If you do get stung with importation fees too then it will bump to a whopping £435

Not on the one I posted, only a 90 day warranty with the seller, the Samsung I posted if you looked, isn't brand new. So isn't covered under Samsung warranty I wouldn't have thought.

Whopping? For a brand new flagship phone, I'd say that was still pretty cheap.

For a big brand name it's at a price that you might expect to see it but it's expensive for a directly Chinese one.

I think hes talking about HotUKDeals own affiliate which gets added on when someone submits a deal. NVM I'd why anyone have a problem with affiliate links when the site is filled with them. Its how they make money

OK i get that, but I'd still rather pay £435 for this, than the alternative UK prices.
I understand everyone is different and don't all think the way I do.
That's why I love hukd. Thanks @reddit

I wasn't arguing, I was asking a simple question, and @TheDodger cleared it up nicely. Goodbye now
Not sure how long I can hang back from biting on one of these. We likely gonna see a price drop between now and September? I can wait until then and treat myself for my birthday...

They have to make money somehow I suppose, he has a job on his hands if he's gonna post the non affiliate link for every deal posted. Good luck to that guy.

No not really, I distinctly remember the mix 2 not dropping in price alot when that was first released, this has dropped quite a bit in the short while it's been out.

You can only get a mix 2 at the price of this currently in the UK.
I think the issue people have with these deals at that you are basically not to put too fine a point on it, relying on smuggling to get it past customs (ie the seller marking it as USD 20 dollar 'toy') - if this is legally imported into the UK than there should be at least another 80 quid on top, making this nearly a 500 quid phone with no UK warranty, or likely any usable warranty at all.

The deal is only 'hot' if it's smuggled into the UK via customs declaration fraud.

Well said. Its not worth the gamble. Blocking your money and waiting for three months and headache to get it cleared from customs. Plus no uk warranty.

$26 for customs paid with this deal also unless I'm missing something??

Every deal I post from aliexpress, I expressly indicate that you may be charged customs, it is then up to that individual person whether they take the chance on it or not, I'm simply posting these deals as the price on aliexpress. As was said above even with customs it would be £440, not £500 as you have said, that is a bit of an exaggeration and wrong.
Good price but my worry is not about customs - its about a warranty, what happens if something goes wrong with it? As someone who has a redmi note 4 break and get nothing in response from the seller (as expected) , it does happen. Its much rather it happened with a £140 phone than on this price.

Take out nationwide flex plus tech insurance, and then you're covered.

I used the 20% eBay code to buy this phone from a seller that had probably smuggled it into the EU without paying VAT etc.

I only paid £350 for the white global 64GB version delivered.

If I posted it as a deal would people have voted that cold also even though it was someone else that would've paid no VAT instead of me?

I think the VAT issue is a structural problem which is bigger than us as consumers and needs the government to address it.

I think to an extent we as consumers can't be responsible for the supply chain and it's ethics..
If I buy from Amazon they likely will contribute nothing from the sale to the UK government, yet HUKD upvotes Amazon deals who merely mimic UK homegrown businesses to suppress competition. Double standards HUKD community?

I'm pretty sure the AmEx gold card gave an extra year warranty also, check t's and C's but might add extra peace of mind if you buy using one. It's free for your first years membership and then you can cancel

Nationwide are one of a couple that do.
What’s the camera like on this? Had a couple of Xiaomi phones in the past and the cameras have been dreadful
Wouldn't it be better to go for the £20 for duty-free with DHL?

I would say so... more for the fact you'll get the phone quicker.

Been trying to find this out myself according this review, the unlocked bootloader meant Android Pay couldn't be used

Accidentally voted cold on this, sorry.!
Impressive phone but like others I personally won’t take the risk and it’s not cheap enough to gamble on......

* no uk warranty or support
* potential custom charges and issues
* resale value of this will be a fraction of a Samsung or iPhone when it comes to upgrading in a few years time

i would much rather get one of the dirt cheap S8’s that comes with a contract ( obviously you would have to buy a sim only to use this Mi ) for a little over £400 all in for the 2 years, heck even the S9 was around the £660 mark for a decent contract only a few weeks ago.

Any other suggestions, other than a Samsung, because I assume not everyone has your way of thinking!
