Decent price on this, I think. Currently £64.99 on their Xiaomi app, so a nice little saving on that. Price is £40.13 without the discount code.

I've just tried it again in a different browser with a new account and the discount is present at checkout. Is this not the same for you?
would this play sky go on my tv?
nice spot
49,99 next best price + New User? This "Deal" is a single joke.

It'll install the sky go app but won't play it as the system recognises that it's not a phone or tablet that you are using
Can this do airplay via iPhone
I have the UK version of this and it is a nice little bit of kit. I prefer it over the Firestick, seems like it has more ooomph. Paid a very similar price too if I remember correctly.
I'll do some research but can you access all Google play store apps on this?

Can all the catch-up services be installed ie. iPlayer, itv player, 4od?

Can 3rd party apps be installed, I'm thinking IPTV providers android app for example?

Wondering if this or a standard android box is best bet

And what does global version mean? Is this better or worse than a UK version?

Cheers all!

Netflix won't play in HD or 4K will it? I don't think Netflix recognises streaming devices other than Firestick, Chromecast, Roku, Nvidia and something else maybe. So all these types of boxes and Android boxes, fail with Netflix

This runs Android TV which Netflix does recognise. It is different from Android for phones shoehorned into a TV box.

No experts on here?😁
How well will this run Kodi? I've got most of the streaming apps built in on LG TV, but missing Kodi. Thx.

Not this one though. It's whitelisted by Netflix so plays upto 4k

Eesh, I'd probably get it, but it doesn't play BBC iPlayer and ITV?

Does it play BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub?

Yes, just install them from the app store.

Fanks! Hmm, dilemma now. Up to 40 days delivery which is understandable as it's coming from China. But there are no reviews from the UK. Everywhere else they say it's good

Or you could just get the 4k Firestick tv but no USB (though you can buy a £2 adapter but you'll be restricted to USB pen drives, unless you have a separate powered hub). People say the Firestick is better with 4k.

It's probably 6 of one or half a dozen.

Edit - just checked and the Fire Stick 4k has gone back upto £49
Edited by: "jsw72" 23rd Feb
Oh yeh I have no doubt the Firestick will be better. I have the 1st gen and want to upgrade. My most important thing is the ethernet and speed basically. I'm not a fan of the 1gb RAM and 8gb storage. For me to get the 4k firestick plus the ethernet adapter will cost around £45
Performance wise, is this much better than a Firestick 4K?
Still can't decide whether to try one of these or an android box like X96air

Like the idea of the Android TV OS and Chromecast built in, but don't like the lacking Ethernet connection, also RAM & ROM lower on this
Is this 32 or 64 bit? There's a distinct lack of catch-up services for Android TV (no iPlayer, ITV player, All 4), but if it's 64 bit you could possibly sideload the specially-made Nvidia Shield versions of those apps, which makes the box infinitely more useful
Just found this generic brand one and notice the specs look much better than the Mi Box S for not a whole lot more. Anyone know if I'm missing something?

Anyone know if I can use this to watch live TV for throughput broadband.... I don't have an aerial...I've heard freeview is coming to android tv
