No NFC in 2019 🙈

£177 with no nfc is wholly acceptable, I've never used it. Will Probabky never use it. So I'll reap the savings thank you very much

Just a couple of options for camera apps etc to get the best out of it.

I'm using the Evie launcher play.google.com/sto…cut
Camera MX play.google.com/sto…_mx
Opencamera is good too play.google.com/sto…era

Drupedialler play.google.com/sto…=en
ProtonMail play.google.com/sto…oid
ProtonVPN play.google.com/sto…oid
Textra for SMS play.google.com/sto…tra

As well as the usuals, whatsapp etc, but thought the above was worth mentioning as having over the stock apps.

This is a really decent price! Nice, switchmeister.
Brilliant phone... Had my phone for 15 months and it's been great. Updates have enhanced the camera and other improvements. For the spec, unless you need NFC and I don't, really is stunning value.
Thank you Mr. Switch. Can you help me find an Asus ROG phone II for under £400?
Great phone and at this price unbelievable value. Got it a year ago and paid £270 on Amazon and thought that was good value.
Wow! I paid £250 for the last one of these (don't ask!) about 6 months ago. This is an amazing price. I also quite like the launcher (which my daughter has put on the 9T as she was so taken by it).

Incredibly cheap for the 128gb version.

Just bear in mind customs fees, insurance and lack of retailer support.

If you want to really improve the camera, use the Google camera for it. Install it and press HDR enhanced at the top.

Think it's an age thing; my daughter took the 9T and I ended up with her Poco mainly because of the NFC (assured that it was nothing to do with the pop up camera). My son has the Mix 3 (from a Note 5) and uses NFC for buses and trains in London rather than an Oyster card (which tends to get lost anyway!).

That's fair enough. And yeah a definite age thing, I never forget my bank card for anything, so no real need to use it in newcastle

Agreed, even at the price I paid. I've had this phone for 12 months and haven't got a complaint about it. Haven't missed the NFC.

Have some heat for this deal

Great phone, but is it me or are there just too many phones competing in this price category from Xiaomi?

Poco F1 vs K30 vs Mi9 Lite? All great phones but which would you choose? its confusing..

I'd choose the K30 out if the three. Better specs

Because the Chinese don't use it, which is where these phones are manufactured, and so it's a waste putting it in.
I absolutely love my Pocophone. I've never had a phone with such amazing battery before, it's amazing.

Just... if you want to get the most out of it (especially with the camera, using the Google Camera app) you'll need to root it and flash it with LineageOS. Mine is basically a budget Pixel 3 XL with this setup.

Great phone and great price. I've had it for over a year and haven't felt the urge I usually get to change due to regular updates and consistent performance
Had this phone for about 12 months and can honestly say it has been fantastic!! Very quick, battery is still amazing. Best value in my opinion!!.

NFC is popular in some places and not popular in others. It's not big in the country that makes these phones.

I bought a 128gb xiaomi redmi note 7 for £183 too, Think it has a bigger screen but otherwise similar too. If you think about it too much, a new model will come out and you have to rethink again anyway, so just take your pick
I have had one of these since launch. Amazing phone for the money.

Then you're missing out - all then more in the UK where mobile payments are now ubiquitous. Try Google Pay, will change the way you transact. Haven't carried a wallet for years now - it's strangely liberating.

I'm happy to carry a card for now.
There is also a black version for sale at £184.01 from a different seller on aliexpress if anyone is interested. aliexpress.com/ite…oV1

£186.35 - £2.34 store coupon And/Or the new user coupon.
I have this superb phone, highly recommended and very similar if not better performance and slightly larger than the iphone XR.
It also shoots 4k video too which is great.
