Basically the only improvement they could have made (apart from the processor) and they did it 👏 👏

It also has optical zoom, insulting at this price
What the heck is a 'front camera quantity'?

Love it, but for £13 more, the 4gb 64gb version is there as well.

£2.48 off for new users as well

They must almost launch a new phone every single day.
What do you do if it goes wrong? Ship it back to China for repair?
Is this phone any good?

i'd go mi a2 lite.

- uk warranty
- stock android
- android one so likely security patches for quite a while

if this comes out in the UK for a reasonable price it would be a close call though
Thanks, I think the Mi A2 Lite is also direct from China. But does seem to be slightly better specs, but with a smaller screen. That's all I can tell.

you can buy from xiaomi uk website. this gives you warranty. remember with aliexpress you can more often than not have customs fees so expect to add £12+ onto the price. You may find that shrinks the gap between buying in the UK and from overseas.

Plus UK delivery would be much quicker.
I did buy an Elephone A6 mini not long ago from aliexpress and did not pay any customs.

You fix it yourself or take it to any phone repair shop. Spare parts can be purchased online.

Never had customs.

I went through a long spell of no customs but things are being caught more and more. Hence if say why more and more eglobal is recommended now on this site

Depends on the seller and how they transport as always.

The reason it's worth noting is with low end phones you save less importing and a customs fee suddenly can make it pointless.

If I bought say a mi 9t pro £12 would make little difference.

As I say best to factor in that possibility

Yes that's possible, I'd give it a go but suspect most people won't bother for a £100 phone. I really can't imagine it's worth sending back to China for warranty repair though, far too much hassle and life's too short
This is literally just rumor spec sheets. The phone hasn't even been unveiled. Cold from me
heat added op, just ordered one for son

Go on then, I'll be your son. But I need the phone for my studies OK?

This looks like a UK seller too, not bad. :-)

Their various iPad Deal's (with their healthy discounts upon them etc), are looking kinda decent still ...

Yeah and bare in mind that China have a law that says you can't send phones to China (hilarious given how many they send out of China!) so you can't send via courier without lying about what's in the package, it may be caught and destroyed at Chinese customs, and if it goes missing and you sent it royal mail they won't pay compo.
Nfc?
Was perusing this offer & noticed that the (new?) Redmi Note 8 4/64 is seemingly available in white for just £119. Have I missed something or is that actually the price point for the phone? That’s less than I paid for my Redmi Note 7 a couple of months back.

According to a couple of articles I've read, yes. However they were both translated from Russian to English, so make of that what you will
