I am interested in a 5 or 5.5 inch screen but a 4000 mah battery. What should one buy. 5.99 inch screen is a bit too big. Already using Redmi Note 4. The new mobile would be for another member of the family.

This would be better then - size comparison with the Redmi 5 Plus at (for the best effect, calibrate the screen with your present phone & use the 'View side by side' feature): phonearena.com/pho…754
Crossbow - thanks. I am also of view this would be better.
Forgot to add that £4.50 tracked with TCB.
Just a little heads up people, from someone who spends a lot of £££ on stuff from China; the last 2x Note 4's I've bought - one received just today, both got a tug at customs... the first one, a couple of weeks ago, £12.85 and the one today, £14.85 It had been in the UK since the 8th!

The first times for me and I've been actively buying for the last few years without issue. Just something to consider when you purchase.

Good luck and enjoy! The Note 4's are awesome value for money, with or without customs.

Xiaomi great phones - it makes me laugh seeing all the suckers playing with their £700 waiting to be snatched by a germ on a moped or picked from their pocket by a Roma

I bought a Redmi 4 Prime on eBay which is essentially the same spec as the Note 4 but with a 5" full hd screen. Useful if you like to work one handed. Paid £110 I think but they are £107 now.

Did you get a card through telling you too pay? I've been waiting on a phone for a while and it may be caught up like yours was
Thanks op for admitting to tax fraud! this was posted a few days ago for similar price and hovers around 100 depending on exchange rate...so don't see point in posting every day.

Yep, the old, "we have a parcel waiting for you at the depo" routine...
I really wouldn't recommend this phone. I've had it for more than a year. After about 7 months the audio jack quit working. The mic only records garbled sound if you take videos (voice messages are still okay) and the screen cracks quite easily if you don't have it in a case. There are sometimes software issues and there's something called Kika Keyboard inside that you can't uninstall and sometimes goes on update request sprees. I also had a problem with the SC weather app you don't seem to be able to uninstall.

If you ever buy another Xiaomi, I'd recommend an Android One model, like the Mi A1 (or the upcoming Mi A2). They have (& will have) pure Android (no skins, overlays or bloatware of any kind) with regular updates directly from Google for at least 2 years.
Wouldn't buy a Xiaomi phone from AliExpress ever again- they are useless at resolving issues.
Avoid!
