Great phone got one last week. Thanks for your recommendation much quicker than my iPhone 7
@MrSwitch looking for an upgrade for a Xiaomi Note 5 Pro. And when I say upgrade, the only thing that really needs to be equal or better is the camera.

Ideally around the 100 UKP mark.

Is this one a good choice or are there better options?

Not too much over. Let's say under 150. But if there's already one with better camera than the Note 5 Pro for 100-ish then I'm all ears

I think most of the new recent releases around this price will have a slightly superior camera than your note 5, I'd say this one does yeah.

Yes I'd go with this, NFC if that's going to be useful plus it'll be supported for longer, you should be able to get a chunk back by shifting your old phone on eBay if you don't want to keep it.

Thanks but if I could buy a cheaper one without NFC (we don't need it) then again that'd be a better option for us. But it's hard to figure all this out with the amount of Xiaomi offerings since the Note 5 Pro came out :O

Hi Switchy, do you have a link to your post/thread that you did explaining all the different variations of the Redmi 8 models please?

I'm wondering what you think is the better model, the Note 8t or the note 8 PRO?

I think they've both got their plus and minus, I will say though I'd choose the 8t all day over the 8 pro, feedback from some hasn't been the best for the pro, in regards to battery management.

I've just moved from the Redmi Note 5 AI to the Redmi Note 8T. Camera is much improved. Portrait mode is better, low light significantly cleaner and processing time much less. You also get a wide angle lens and macro mode.

Prob the regular note 8 then,if you click through to this deal the same store has it 4/64gb in black for £120 or if the 3/32gb will do then they've got it in 3 colours for £111 if that's any help. Haven't really been following Xiaomi prices recently so I don't know without searching if the regular note 8 is currently available for less.

Edit...I've just looked on tcb and it's currently an impressive 5% for AliExpress orders so if it pays out you're looking at a nice 6quid or so back.

Just £134. Some people are generous to a fault!
A great price...me personally looking for a Xiaomi with the following...
Amoled
NFC
QI enabled
3.5mm jack
Large battery
Shed any light?

Only phones that do wireless charging are the mi 9, and mix2s/3. So your search is narrowed down right there.

Mix 2s has a headphone jack, but small battery. Not all of your boxes are gonna be ticked xiaomi wise bud, compromises needed.
So any of the Xiaomi's have Dolby Surround?

I just love the sound on my Axon 7, but finding something similar is difficult. Something under £200.

Yes, its just the battery has lost its charge, and its difficult to replace, sadly.

Cheers...just gonna hold for the Mi 10 & 10 Pro launch in a month or 2. Sounds like my type of phone if not I'll snap up a 9T pro.

Yeah, you may as well wait now to be honest.
Where's the Xiaomi Mi 9 lite disappeared to? The best I saw it at was £159 (I think) at AliExpress in November. 6GB+64GB. After that it's all gone quiet.
I want to get the Xiaomi Mi 9 lite because of all the features but mostly because of the Amoled screen which means in-display fingerprint scanner.
Hoping it reappears
Nice Deal!

Can anyone find the Redmi Note 8T Global version that would have a quicker delivery time (i.e. shipped from UK/europe)?

Would be happy to pay extra. The best I can find is ~£155 including shipping from: techinn.com/en/…5/p

Or maybe there is something better for £150 available in Europe etc ????

Thanks in advance!

If you are referring to the 2 items available for £155 sold by "Excellent Mi Store", the business address is in China and this seller has only 15 seller ratings with an overall rating of 73%, I'm not sure I would trust that based on the negative reviews given.
