Talking nonsense mate, certainly in the case of Xiaomi. My wife's Redmi Note 4 is 30 months old now, still works flawlessly and battery still lasts 2 days. And to top it off she got an OTA update to Miui 11 a couple of weeks ago. She point blank refuses to let me buy her a new mobile! More than happy with her RN4!

But by all means keep paying over the odds for your mobiles .

I’ve had Redmi phones for years, they’re actually really good phones & the Note 5 I was referring to was the Redmi note 5. You can buy a Redmi note 8 for not much more than you’re wanting for your 5!

Good phone to get!
That's the phone I want but I'm worried about warranty etc if it becomes faulty. Help!

Yeah, no warranty here unfortunately, price you pay for a cheap handset, try third parties on amazon from UK sellers for warranty

looks bit like a moto g8+ wiv improved fast battery chargin, infrared, wors camera but has panoramic selfie cam, 4.2 instead of v5 Bluetooth, not as good sd card size compatibility & slower but 4CA (not 2CA) modem&screen is same LCD
Ridiculous price. Serious heat! 😃
Voted hot for this price.

The A2 has LCD screen and still works very well. I have the 6gb A2 model.
Cheapest on Amazon couple of days ago was £165 so depends if you want to pay £40 for warranty. If you get hit for customs charges on this one the difference won't be worth worrying about though. Perhaps Amazon is the better bet but stock could be limited or even gone.

Copy this in to Google search:
Note 8t gsmarena
43-60 days for delivery though. They'll probably be selling these for 33% less by the time the order actually arrives.
I currently have samsung s7 edge so looking to update. Been looking at Mrswitch postings (legend BTW for posting all these deals). Looking at this, or the note 8 pro, our even mi9 (Pro is it)? Just not sure where to go as first time buying into these brands
redmi k30 seems worth the extra, waiting for the 5G because it's actually has metal rails
This is an LCD. JuSt GoOgLe iT.
Contrast Ratio on Xiaomi website list it at 1500:1 so it's not OLED.
Still looks like a lot of phone for the price.

The selfie camera on this is appalling, my note 5 was so much better!

To be fair, just googling it, seems to throw up different results, depends who you trust the most I guess.

I've not used the 8t but don't give up hope! Xiaomi are pretty good with updates so I wouldn't be surprised if they worked on improving it. Hardware wise it's a similar camera so there's no reason it shouldn't be as capable as the one on the note 5.

Thank you, I do hope so.....haven't managed a good selfie yet!! Perhaps I should work on my looks instead??!

I'm not sure how much your views on this brand are helping you sell one of their Note 5's.

Depends on if you buy the cheapest Kia or a better one. Obviously.

£100-£250, been looking on GSMArena at reviews, no fused about nfc, but would like it to be quick, good battery and main camera.

Few choices for xiaomi in your budget, the note 8, note 8t, note 8 pro, mi 9 lite, and the mi 9t.

If it were me out of those lot I'd go for the mi 9t, it's on amazon for £265, or you can get it around £200 on the grey import sites, you'd also need to import the note 8 pro, or use a marketplace seller on amazon. The note 8 and 8t are very accessible in the UK, and are still solid choices for a daily phone.

I say the mi 9t as its just the better all rounder than all the others in the list. Better processor differentiates it from the next best the mi 9 litem
