Yeah my bad!
I have tried this and they don't last. My Dyson cordless is now in the trash and I have moved to a shark 🦈
Got a 3000mAh a couple days ago from a seller on amazon for £23.94. Didn't fix the problem I'm thinking the motor has burnt out maybe.

Have you tried replacing/cleaning out the filter on the top of the machine? Mine was super clogged from the inside. It was hard work taking the filter casing apart to invert it.
Just gave it a clean but i dont think we took it apart. ill give what your sayng a try, I hope it works. thanks for that.

Aren't you meant to clean that filter every month?

lol, anyway I've tried the filver and still doesn't work.
I’ve got this battery...had it for 12 months or so after my v6 battery died after 3 years.
It’s fantastic! More powerful and lasts longer than original ever did. Dyson should actually use this supplier instead of their own.
Well worth £30
Simpler on ebay for 17pounds
Also on mine I had the brush roll jamming which was causing the battery to drain. Turns out that hair can get stuck in the gear that drives the brush roll and it needs to be cleaned out.

Have you got a link for one for £17. I can only seem to find them for around £22.

My folks have a 3-4 year old V6 and the battery is now only lasting 10 mins. Just wondering whether to just replace the battery or get a Shark?!

Hi, thanks for this, but can you find evidence please? My v6 came with a two year warranty. As far as I can tell the battery warranty is the same?

Call dyson and tell them the problem, they will ask you for a serial number which they can see when it was manufactured. You will then get a free replacement. I have done this once before

Cheers. I managed to get a new motorised head posted to me a month before the two years warranty was up. Hopefully the battery warranty is longer, though looking at their own website they say they I only expect it to last 3 years!
Will give them a call tomorrow
-----------
So just called them and agreed the battery is dead but only 2 year warranty on the whole product which expired a year ago.

I have 18v drill/ impact driver batteries that have lasted me 10 years of daily use. Poor show Dyson

rang them on Friday evening as my battery had also died. Apparently my warranty ran out in October.
Told me the replacement was £70, then asked for my card details without taking a breath.

i responded that I wanted to go and think about it, and they then instantly said i could get it for free as a good will gesture.

i really hate dyson, and this just reinforces that.
