Clicking on deal button doesn't take you Argos site - my browser gizmo rates it as dangerous and won't open it......beware...:x

would this be suitable for taking the wife on holiday in one piece?
yes she is dead...she choked on a combination of turkey leg and my right hand !

"Just make sure she is in a plastic bag so no bodily fluids will leak through the lining "...thanks for the advice bud...she ain't leaking but she's lookin kinda pale...thought i'd get a little sun on her as she's begining to spook the little 'uns.

thnx, just reserved. hot:thumbsup:

Got these for our trip to Florida this year and they are great. Very sturdy and hold loads without using up all your baggage allowance before you even pack!

These are excellent bags - especially for that price! :w00t:

We took 2 bags to Jamaica for 2 adults and 2 children (1 week, 2 outfits a day) and still had space in the bags.

They feel strong too, not like they will just bust open or nufin or nufin

Anyone know if you can put a small lock on (like normal suitcases) ?

Yes you can.
I bought one of these last year, and thought it was a great buy then!!

i have one of these (not from argos and with a different brand) and its pretty good for lugging everything you own around in. they are big enough to fit a bus in and pretty strong. saying that mine has burst at the wheel sections so may need a new one. thanks OP

If you are flying, you are best securing your case by usong a small cable-tie to join the two zips together.

Security don't like locks and will simply force them open if they need to open your bag for any reason (potentially damaging your bag). If you use a cable-tie, they can cut that without damaging the bag. It keeps casual thieves out as they know you wil notice the cut cable-tie.

I was just about to give you credit for the cable tie idea but then realised that some of my suitcases have built in locks together with a combination lock - Samsonite.
Are you really expecting us to believe that security would force two locks & break the combination just to get in my suitcase? I don't think so without good cause and I think they would try to trace the owner before starting to break into a case. Maybe if it's smoking, or leaking body fluids  they would have reason to break into it but otherwise why?

BUT, What if he ISN'T Joking... :w00t:

I got one of these from Argos last year for a fiver, great "huge" bag.

Zips do come together and have metal hoops on, to take padlock/cable ties.

Heat added.

I'm a great believer in using cable ties.

No-one has escaped yet either. :w00t:

(joke). :-D

Got mine today, reserved last night on line, great price excellent post. Cable ties for me everytime as I always lose those little padlock keys. In my experience thieves just slash the case/bag open anyway so doesn't matter either way and cable ties do stop your pants blowing down the airport runway cos your zip pulled open:whistling:

However, make sure you have something handy to release/cut the cable tie at your destination and remember, no sharps in your hand luggage.!

No, nothing wrong with the deal, or with Christmas, just didn't like your posts......I read the posts for reviews, not for your sick misogynistic ( that would be woman haters to you idiots) jokes......

How'd you like to spend the holidays in a shelter for beaten women......they'd eat you alive.

Morons.

Great find, got mine at the weekend!!! Will vote hot etc once I fgure out how (new user!)

The bag is rubbish!!!. i have been buying these particular bag from argos for years for between 9.99 and £11.99. I thought good deal for £5.79 and rushed off to get a couple for my next travel. Shock horror!!! For £5.79, i am now only getting half a bag.

Argos half the price cos they are a smaller make. Not a good deal for those that are familiar with the bag. Vote cold.

I'm familiar with this Holdall too, well the previous bigger bag anyhow.

Thought perhaps you may have been mistaken (doe) regarding the "new" smaller size but alas, you are 100% correct after buying it today, then spoke to the manager and he explained thats its the new "Value" range..... :? To be fair, he did go have a look for any old stock (bigger bag).

Brought it home, measured it up against old holdall and indeed its alot smaller, missus returned it forthwith, dissapointed.

p.s. expired as price has gone up to £8.79
