Go on the London Eye for £10

Found 1st Mar 2010
Just to say that Last Minute.com are offering trips on the London Eye for £10 to celebrate it's 10th anniversary. Dates from March 8th - 17th March 2010.

At 135 metres, The Merlin Entertainments London Eye is the worlds tallest cantilevered wheel, with 40 kilometre panoramic views on a clear day. The gradual flight in one of the 32 high-tech glass capsules takes approximately 30 minutes. Night or day, The London Eye offers spectacular views of London and its famous landmarks such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, St Pauls Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.

Since 2000, it has attracted over 34 million visitors and now boasts the first live action, spectacular 4D pre-flight show which offers an exclusive multi-sensory experience.

The London Eye 4D is a groundbreaking 3D film with in theatre effects, such as wind, bubbles and mist, to make the 4D. The film itself is a touching story of a little girl in London with her father. Her view of famous London landmarks is obscured by people and traffic, but a seagull draws her attention to The Eye and her father takes her for a flight; finally she has an amazing view of the city. Colourful parties inside the capsule, time lapse of The Eye day and night and a spectacular firework display all add up to an emotional and entertaining experience; the perfect prelude to a flight on The Eye itself.

All standard flight guests wishing to see the new 4D Experience would need to join the 4D entrance queue with their tickets 45 minutes prior to their booked flight time.

I went on it about 4 years ago and thought it was quite good you get a great view, I didn't end up going round and round in circles as it only goes around once dead slow (so slow in fact a pod full of people can get on while it is still moving).

i enjoyed it and this is a much fairer price than what it normally is. the bummer i have found is that the windows are dirty, preventing good pictures being taken

Bloody hell 10 quid for a bigger version of a fairground ride!!! How much is it normally like? Even at 10 quid it's a total rip off!

£10 that's hot!

Well worth it for the view.

Here's one I took earlier ]http//ww…/o/.
