For cars that do not have bluetooth connectivity inbuilt, it connects to your mobile via bluetooth and to your car stereo via FM. So basically it allows you to connect your mobile or other similar device to your car to hear music, use hands-free calling or listen to navigation.

FM frequency can be changed via its app.

How do you skip songs in this one?

i believe it's done via an app once paired with your phone .... some of these only allow music to be controlled through the app too rather than any music player on your phone. Anyone confirm if this is the same on this one?

It simply connects to your phone, so whichever player you use in your phone would work.
You skip songs on your phone same as if you had connected a headphone to your mobile.
ordered, cheers
Will you need internet connection to use the Bluetooth function...if it needs an app to control it?

Also will it work on an 12 year old car radio

I think the app uses bluetooth to connect with the charger. The app should only be required if you want to change the frequency or any other settings. Once set, the app is not required.
It should work on any car with a working car charger and FM radio.
The only thing to check is the car charger design compatibility. I think it will not fit some of the new car chargers.
Grabbed one. This will be very handy with no aux on my car until I get the audio system overhauled!
Mine just arrived but didn't fit in my old Volvo but got it working with a fix I found on the internet using silver paper and tape.
It's brilliant for the money, music comes through really clear and the fact it charges and acts as a handsfree too is simply fantastic.
Can't believe I'm literally gushing over this but it's the best £7 odd I've spent.
