Could be my favourite GOAT.
Love it.
I've been sitting on a £20 PSN card since Christmas waiting for God of War to hit £20. At £22.34 for the deluxe edition, I think I'll bite!

From a story aspect, does it matter too much if I've not played any of the others?

There are some good “story so far” videos on youtube, I definitely think you should watch that first.

It's an epic storyline of love, lust, betrayal, hate, revenge and extreme violence on a legendary scale.

It helps to have played the earlier games in order to continue the journey... But you don't NEED to.

Try looking on YouTube to catch up. Reading about it will ensure you miss the visual eye candy spreading before you, and doesn't do it justice.
