Pretty sure it was £48 on their site yesterday. Had a look and seems to be the current cheapest.

  • A New Beginning - His vengeance against the gods of Olympus far behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the lands of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive... and teach his son to do the same
  • Second Chances - As mentor and protector to a son determined to earn his respect, Kratos is faced with an unexpected opportunity to master the rage that has long defined him. Questioning the dark lineage he's passed on to his son, he hopes to make amends for the shortcomings of his past
  • Midgard and Beyond - Set within the untamed forests, mountains, and realms of Norse lore, God of War features a distinctly new setting with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters, and gods
  • Vicious, Physical Combat - With an intimate, over-the-shoulder free camera that brings the action closer than ever, combat in God of War is up close, frenetic, and unflinching. Kratos' axe -powerful, magic and multi-faceted - is a brutal weapon as well as a versatile tool for exploration

Beast of a game this, think i’ve spent many a hour just throwing my axe at nothing and recalling it, just doesn’t get boring.
I finished God of War last night. Quite simply put, it's a masterpiece and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Hmm I don't think this will be going down anytime soon...

just bought it from amazon getting a fiver off by using toolbar addon, but the best was i called TSB up was on hold for 30 minutes after i complained about not being abble to manage my account for the last week she gave me £40 so the games cost me zero.I have the other God of wars for my Pro and love them ive been waiting for this game to come out for years and by all the great reviews it looks like it will be worth it.

TSB have given me £40 for ringing up and complaining that i hadnt been able to manage my money since last Friday as TSB's website is broken rubbish and im not the first to come away with £40 it looks like TSB's customer service have been told to give anyone who makes a complaint £40. So make the call you might be on hold for 30 minutes but they pay you that back aswell, £30 for 30 minutes work it cant be bad.
Worth every single penny!
Such a good game, nearly finished it and loving every second.

Cheers for the heads up, cancelled my order and re-ordered with the fiver off!

It’s amazing how the game literately starts from title screen with no loading or change of camera. Started on hard on the get go to get 40+ hr out of it. I can see why...tougher mobs and several hits and I’m dead

You cannot really compare them. Breath of the Wild is a huge, open world game with a ridiculous amount of content.

God of War is also open world to an extent featuring wealth of content that's actually worth going and doing.

For comparison, I put around 150 hours into Zelda and around 40 hours into God of War, and I've still got a fair few side quests to finish, getting the best gear in the game etc. Those 40 hours were spent exploring, doing quests, listening and reading the lore, and finishing the main game.

I was worried that a lot of talk around this game was hype after hating Monster hunter and finding Horizon zero dawn too boring to finish. This game is easily the best single player game I have ever played, possibly the best game bar none for me. I love the social multiplayer games like Destiny but this is just amazing and I can't wait to get deeper into the story.

I thought it was just me that felt Breath if the wild was boring. Might give god of war a go
I want this game but will wait for the hype and price to come down.

i got it on day one. Highly overrated game. not worth all the hype.
I have backlog of 10+ un-played games on both PS4 and Switch, but I’m tempted to put all those games on hold and buy and play God of War while it’s still hot.what do you think

But where is the fun in that? some games are like meals, best served hot..
and when you are done with it you can sell it and make most of your money back while it’s still on demand..

I hate to say it,but yes I’ve just started playing Breath of the Wild and I find it boring too..the first hour was fun but after that,it’s boring and ugly (specially dungeons).abd this is from someone who is fan of the series and played them all.

God of Way looks very promising though,I’m willing to abandon Zelda and play this instead.

I can wait. I don't sell any of my games which is why my loft is full of old consoles/games.

Fair point.
if you don’t sell games, then yeah that’s the way to go.
I don’t keep modern games,unless it’s a beat em up,fighter,2D,etc worth re-playing,so different circumstances..
Really want this but just don't have the money, even at this decent price. Think it's going to another GTAV or TLOU and never lower in price. Will finsih Horizon and then maybe treat myself. Heat at this though.
For anybody sitting on the fence, do yourselves a favour and buy it. It is an absolutely brilliant game, I would also suggest you read up on Norse Mythology as this really does add a great amount of depth to the story.

Yeah I'm a bit the same. I bought Monster Hunter World, kept it for 3 weeks and then sold it for the same price. Farcry 5 is going down already after a £40 pre-owned price for a while. My friend bought the gold edition on digital for around £60 and he's completed it already and has nothing to sell. I can't help think that's a waste. I'll wait for God Of War to sell Pre-owned at £32 then ill buy it. If I'm no good at it (which happened with Monster Hunter World), I'll sell it pretty much straight away.

I wouldn't worry, the two games don't have much in common besides being action slash 'em ups.

Monster Hunter is very much something you're supposed to put tons of time into learning so it can seem brutal for more casual gamers. It's supposed to allow for hundreds of hours of gameplay so there's a steep learning curve.

God of War is a more fair kind of gameplay at the standard difficulty and there's an easy mode if you struggle with it. You have to up the difficulty for it to get really challenging. Also death just puts you back a few minutes from where you were.

Definitely makes sense to go physical for resale value after completion however it is the kind of quality game you'll want to play again in a year or so. And I say this as someone that thought the previous God of War games were nothing special.

Also: to anyone that missed it: there's still this deal to get it for £38.10 hotukdeals.com/dea…e=3

An immense game! buy!buybuy! Show these companies that we need great games like this and not the lootbox ridden turds we have been getting recently!
I played around 25-30 hours, its excellent game. MUST BUY.
A buddy finished it and gave it to me for the weekend. So far its good, but dont think it's my kind of game

I got Platinum as well; probably took about 40hrs. Was seriously impressed with how the stories were never repeated and I am amazed at the content after the main story. The twist from doing the hardest bit in the game was a nice touch and what I believe to be a big clue into the premise of the next game.

Interesting to know, I have been looking into getting Monster Hunter but if the game is too intense I don’t think I would stick with it.

I haven't got the platinum yet, that's what I'm currently working on now. Fair play for getting it because its no easy feat

True, I did a ton of exploring as I progressed which made the cleanup a lot easier. Only one part made me wonder if I would actually do it but did it in the end. The game was so good it would have been rude not to get the Shiny 😁
For anyone hoping this will be £20 in 3 months then think again. This will still be £35 come Christmas.
This game is just insane... Love it.
It's gone down to £41.85, so ordered and heat added.
