They're even coming from Gdansk, to see the film.

Nice find, I've just phoned the travel company up and booked it direct, just to save buying the voucher, still the same price as advertised and I could check the availability at the same time
Thanks Mark

One of the few places in Europe at fairly low risk from extremist attacks

Great spot but I heard somewhere Norwegian airlines are employing Ryanair's pilots so maybe, just maybe it's a lack of pilots in which case it could be more flights cancelled in the future.

Sopot near by, worth a visit. I like Gandsk was there in 2001 whilst doing a six weeks tour of the country.

v8griff4 h, 13 m ago

Looks tempting, anyone had experience using this company?

I haven't used them but my advice would be don't bother. I've posted on a few of these GoGroupie deals now because I feel it's important people know what they are actually getting for their money.

Using this deal as an example, the cheapest flights out of Stansted for the dates quoted (Dec 11-13) are with Ryanair and cost £51 per person. The flight out leaves at 19:40 and arrives in Prague at 22:40. The flight home leaves at 07:05 so as kasewene has pointed out, you'll end up with just one full day in Prague.

Hotel Aida has decent reviews but isn't central at all so you'll waste even more time travelling into the city. It's also available for £67 for the dates quoted, so the total cost if you book directly with Ryanair for the flights and booking.com for the hotel would be £84 per person - cheaper than this deal.

If you're interested in this sort of break the best thing to do is use Skyscanner to find flights at an airport that works for you and then something like booking.com or expedia for the hotel. You'll be able to choose more suitable flight times and a hotel or apartment that's in a better location and/or better quality.

Been to both in January and both cities are cold and we loved it, the people in Budapest we found were much friendlier but the architecture in Prague is better and more colourful, either way you would have a great time.

People need to be aware that these deals aren't as good as they appear. Flights will almost definitely be late leaving on day one and early on the final day, significantly reducing the time you have in the two cities. The hotels will be very average, poorly located or both.

They are just packaging up cheap flights with cheap hotels so you will be much better off buying them separately to suit your needs and maximise the time you have to enjoy the break.
Edited by: "Robdk" 12th Sep

One word springs to mind..... FREEZING. I went last November and it was freezing cold let alone going in January! Loved both cities though.
Edited by: "bepurple" 11th Sep

Lead price of 99pp is amazing for 4 Nights in hotels with a train in between. I booked Budapest Xmas Market last week using Gogroopie vouchers but this looks a better deal for discovering two places on a budget! Wish I'd waited now.

Nice Find!

Snap..as above done both cities last year. Loved Budapest and the ruin bars and city. Bit too tourist Prague especially St Charles Bridge. Not sure if I would go again but worth the money. Bit concerned on the deal being through groupie, in fact very worried it would go wrong once paid. It is off peak and it will be rainy and cold

I hate when people post these deals with the price per person when you cant even book individually. Its just misleading. Probably trying to make the deal look cheaper...

The hotel for the Venice part is not in Venice so not very good, visiting Venice in such little time the hotel needs to be in Venice..... Sorry you will be disappointed for that part of the break. I lived and worked in that area for over 10years.... Not voting anyway

Flights can be found easily between £25-£30pp and hotels in Mestre are so so cheap. You can most certainly find better hotels for much cheaper using discount codes on other hotel websites such as Ebookers and putting this trip together cheaper, especially reading the reviews of some of the hotels.

I did a four day Groupon deal for Venice and Rome flying from Manchester in November last year, try and book the flight, train transfers and hotel for the same money. You can't, brilliant value for money and you only spend time in the hotel to sleep. Would recommend and do the trip again abytime

Stupid comments here. Obviously nobody has ever been to Venice before, yet they speak as if they were experts. Mestre is the closest city on the mainland. Venice, for those who do not comprehend the concept, is a collection of islands. Venice can not accommodate all tourists. I'd be surprised if it could accommodate more than 25% of tourists to Venice. Usually hotels in Mestre are better in terms of quality than the ones in Venice, unless you choose one of the Grand Hotels for £300 or more per person per night. To say that Mestre is miles away from Venice is like to say that Earl's Court is miles away from London!

This is a brilliant deal. Mestre is a 15 minute journey max across the bridge to main town Venice (I stayed there in June) so Mestre is a very good location, mirano is obviously further away but they do boat trips from Venice to Mirano (vice versa) everyday -so Mestre is definitely a better place to be. The bus is €3 return a day which is super cheap and the food isn't that expensive and the fact that this includes flights is brilliant...yes they'll probably be awful hours but I'm sure you could change them for a small fee. Wish I lived near London! It'd cost me more than this for a return ticket from liverpool to London!
Edited by: "aimeehill25" 15th Aug

I hate it when people don't explain the deal correctly - This is £69 per person and is based on 2 sharing, so I'm marking this as 'COLD' because its actually £138 for 2 people !

Have to agree. The cost of living in Iceland is 67% higher than in the UK so everything is going to be more expensive than here.

I know 2 days isn't long to spend much, but be aware Iceland is very expensive.

I spend more money in 5 days there than I did in 16 days in the Philippines.

Reykjavik is absolutely stunning tho. I would love to go back one day.
