When I saw the photo I thought it was for a toaster

This should get warm as toast. If you have children who are into Lego or sylvanian families this could double up as a 4 slice toaster prop..

not bad to carry around with a laptop. heat

Reckon this would be suitable for PS3/4 USB charging/wired controllers?

Been looking for a toaster for ages.

In fact, USB 2.0 is the only variant that has a maximum mode named “high speed”. en.m.wikipedia.org/wik…USB

Ports look a bit close...not sure how many usb sticks you could put in this at the same time...depends on the sticks of course

Ken could buy this toaster as a Christmas present for Barbie...

might get one to test with pi zero, so hard to get an affordable one to work with one

Thanks for reply, will stick with my higher speed USB 3.0

USB 2.0 is not the highest speed, therefore it can't be described as high speed.

That's like saying 1080p can't be described as "Full HD" because 4k is higher definition

As someone already pointed out above, USB High Speed is a mode:
"Also, there are 5 modes of USB data transfer, in order of increasing bandwidth: Low Speed (from 1.0), Full Speed (from 1.0), High Speed (from 2.0), SuperSpeed (from 3.0), and SuperSpeed+ (from 3.1)"

I'll use this for charging multiple devices. Ordered. Thanks.

From my experience of using this type of USB bus powered it will struggle to charge any high demanding devices as it is not attached to an external power supply. So you'll be lucky to use all four USB ports at once

You know there's a difference between something being "high" and the "highest"?
Nowhere does it say it's the highest speed.

You can always count on Currys to describe a USB 2 hub as '' high speed ".

2005 called, they wanted their tech back

Hey it's faster than USB 1 and USB 2.0 has always been referred to as high speed. It doesn't mean new technology isn't higher speeds.

Just as 100Mbit/s Ethernet is "Fast Ethernet"

No better than the tat from poundland, poundworld and ebay.

Picked up two of these myself for little stocking fillers (Yes thinking about Christmas already), not a bad price at all always handy in an office environment

I'm guessing ... lol.

If it's anything like the rest of their Goji/Currys own brand stuff, it'll break within 6 months then they'll get p*ssy with you when you ask for a replacement.
