Last week I bought off peak travelcard zone 1-6 for £5.30 with my network railcard.

Staff at the station was a little bit surprised when saw value of £1 on the railcard. So I thought maybe not many people are aware that they can get railcard that cost £28 for just £1 if they have gold card

If you're a gold card holder you get 30% discount anyway so you won't need a Network Rail card - same rules apply as far as I am aware about travelling with a one other at discount rate.
Hello, i have now turned 26 and my young persons rail card has expired, can i use this to get 30% off my rail fair or would i need something else?
voted hot, seems like a young persons rail card version for over 25's
If you have a gold card you and up to 4 others travelling with you get a third off train fares in the south east only. I guess by getting this it extends nationwide? Useful for partners etc traveling seperatly too.

Umm also, why is "memory card, sd card, storage" in the tags list? Can you use these cards as a storage device or something

Gold Cards

Annual Season tickets in London and the South East of England, which also offer discounts on rail travel.
What is a Gold Card?

Gold Cards are Annual Season tickets with a difference! When you buy an annual season at a station within the Network Railcard Area and the origin and / or destination are also in the Network Railcard Area, you are automatically issued with a Gold Card.

They also used to do a 'partner card' for a quid as well. Saved me stacks when the Ducktchess had a gold card.
Hi,

Gold Card info
scroll down to the section, "What discounts do I get?"

Just to clarify, if you already have a Gold Card, then you can use it to get discounts on certain trainlines.

You can also use your Gold Card to buy one additional "Network Railcard Partner Card" for £1.
This is the same as a standard £28 Network Railcard,

This can be given to a "family member" ;),
