Honestly for the money, this is a great phone.

I'm tempted by this. My iPhone 5 has served me well but it's time to say goodbye. I don't want to spend much. It's come down to this or the p8 lite. Any advice from anyone would be helpful

You won't get a much better phone (that isn't some cheap chinese knock off stuff) for this price

Good for the price, however for £20 more you can get the G5 with 3GB RAM (the Argos one is 2GB):

At £130, this phone is great. Once you're spending more money, you'd be foolish not to move up to the Mi A1 at £160 though.

Been thinking about it but they have now switched to android 7 from Cyanogen?? Loads of being are having issues with the phones now from what I have read

Is this better than moto e+?

I have one of these alongside a nexus 5x. It's not a fair comparison but the Moto actually is pretty good.
No compass or NFC by the way.

This is probably one of the better budget Android phones if you don't want to go the Chinese route. Of course, I've just done the opposite myself and spent 4 quid more than this on a Umidigi Z1, which includes dual rear cameras, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, 4000mAh battery, 5.5" display, dual SIM/microSD and a 2.3Ghz 8-core CPU, but you'll only get it cheap from a Chinese website of course (import duty/VAT/handling charges may apply...).

Had every single Moto G since they came out. All suffered from battery problems (yes, I should have learnt after #2) and every single handset would go mental when put on charge and used simultaneously. Last G4 got ditched as the Google maps app on it was officially MENTAL and sent me every direction but the one I needed. Wouldn't touch this with yours.

Ive had this phone since march and it's awful. It won't take any of the memory cards I've tried, and with 16gb and a huge OS you'll be out of memory really quickly. Within 2 weeks it was scratched, chipped and had a smashed screen, in 10 years I've never broken a phone screen. It only fell about a foot indoors.

Its cheap and you'll know it's cheap the second you hold it. It's plastic not metal like most phones and as durable as a block of cheese. Defo not one for kids or teenagers etc.

I have this phone, had things like the Nexus 4 (when it first came out) as well as cheap Chinese phones as well. This holds up pretty well. The memory is small but I have a memory card installed and once we'd sorted out how to get as many apps as possible to use that (not all will) its been pretty good. I have it quite some time with no damage, although I do always use a case and screen protector! The camera isnt great, so if thats important to you maybe best avoided. I am happy with mine though, as it didnt cost much as does what I want.

Agreed, my daughter's Wileyfox Swift2 plus has been a miserable experience because of this.

I took a break from Samsung for a few years, I had the G2(one of the best phones I've ever had) G3 and G5. Great phone at this price. Samsung tempted me back with the S6 edge

Out of curiosity what iOS u running in your iPhone?

iOS 10

yespleasesir1 m ago

iOS 10

I had a iPhone for years and never updated it still running as fast as iPhone 8 it's the update that kills them. Decreased battery life etc

Just ordered one for my wife who is still on a 1st generation MotoG, which by the way is still running fine, battery lasts "only" 1 day now days.
Anyway to all who say this phone is cheep and feels cheep, plastic case broke, bla bla bla...... they are missing the point on the Moto G.
It was always designed to be a cheep plastic phone with a very good spec for the price. So spend £10 extra for a case and screen protector and you would not tell the difference from a much more expensive phone.

If a nice metal casing is so important though then you should not be looking at a Moto G in the first place and just look for a phone that costs nearly 3 times and that in real life delivers just the same as a humble Moto G

just to update the wiley fox phones arrived today and in original boxes look bnew even the used good def no scratches perfect x thanks McBloody and it was cheaper than this x

I think you will find that it's locked to o2, but can be unlocked via a code from one of the many sellers on eBay for a couple of pounds. o2 link here

I came here to say the same thing

I just checked, still saying £89.99 for the blue one, up to 4 weeks delivery, but I have a few that can be collected today with only a little drive.

Personally I'd go for the blue one, saving £40, and put a gold case on it if you wanted gold. And as SL1210 says, get an unlock code from eBay.
