Nevertheless, still a great find if you didn't catch the first post, great deal and heat added

Got my girlfriend these for Xmas. The sound is brilliant and they're so comfy and they totally shut out the sound from the outside world when you're wearing them. They even have a little zipped box that you keep them in. What more can I say?

HOT

Yeah these cans are mint . Punch massively above their price.

Quite a few have said that they get even better when they have "Burned In", Can any one explain what and why this is?

Bought a pair of these as a Christmas present. I'll probably be back for a pair for myself soon... Excellent sound and pound for pound they give the Bose QuietComforts a hell of a kicking.

Leave them plugged in and playing music continuously on a normal volume level for a few hours/days/until you hear a difference.

I have these and they are worth every penny. I had some Sony entry level noise cancelling headphones but these are far superior. A bargain IMHO

I've had many good pairs over the last 20 years. Most recently I had a pair of Bose QC3's stolen in Cape Town. I replaced them with Goldring NS1000 at £49.99 from Play.com (although they go up and down in price).

I can honestly say the Goldrings have more detail than the Bose for less than 20% of the price, better noise reduction (I am a Londoner so they noise cancellation is there for tube journies which otherwise render the music incomprehensible) and they work with or without the standard AAA battery (unlike Bose QC3). They also come with a (replaceable) QED 3.5mm to 3.5mm gold plated lead. They do need running in though (leave them running overnight.

For me, the best £50 I've ever spent.
