Yeah its such a shame, i mean just 5000 miles, useless and no fun at all, then it turns into a pumpkin,

You may as well walk

Search "golf r" - they're all there.

I'm 14 mths into a 5dr paying £202/mth/net on 24mths. Alan Day price matched and got it down further when it was delayed as compensation.

It's not too bad but shame about the 5k miles. Yes it has been cheaper but this appears to be the cheapest at the moment! (_;)

That was the search i did , also 'golf r 3dr' but definitely couldn't find any ,

Well yeah you got a bit of a special price there <5k , i doubt anyone else saw a deal like that, i'll assume 10k miles too -

it was a little while ago though, hopefully they will sort you out again when it finishes

But right now and for some time this is the one.

Ok cheers not sure how i missed them (_;),

Not a whole lot cheaper though - so this must be a pretty good deal still.

VW themselves charge 7.2ppm (6p plus vat), i'd expect the same from the lease companies, to a point. You can't lease on a 5k pa deal and stick 25k pa on. There's an expectation usually to only add a certain % in excess miles.

Good deal but better mileage would help and some extra doors

You can do as many miles as you want. You get charged accordingly per mile over your contracted lease.

They want to sell them on after the lease is over at below average mileage to optimise resale rate....which they will.

Not always - I've had lease's before where you are allowed a certain excess mileage at the pre agreed charge then there was a penalty if you went considerably over - think it was twice the agreed mileage

Good deal on the same site for various door/gearbox/10k/5k configurations. Hot but still too early for me to renew lease (.

Should have mentioned this yesterday when comparing to previous deals,

This is of course the new spec with NAV and winter pack options which are worth over £2k and only included with very recent deals, making value pretty comparable -

it may even be better - if its 2k extras (low estimate) , then / 29 monthly payments extra £68 a month ontop of the old prices to match this spec, obviously they claw a bit back from the mileage but that really isn't much and its pay as you go so you may end up not paying for 10k just what you use.

definitely a good deal which i would go for if it was exactly what i wanted, i can vouch for select too their customer services seems a lot better than most lease companies i have spoken too.

Nav and winter spec are now standard since all BW22 cars onwards.

Yes, my point; all previous deals (such as those quoted above) would have had to add these options to be a fair comparison, and doing so puts this deal much cheaper.

Excess mileage is a sizeable 11.19p per mile, so makes sense to set quote to 10,000 miles per year.

UPDATE - They initially said that they could delay delivery until March (when my current lease expires) but they cannot, January is earliest.

I know similar deals have been on and off last couple of years but with weaker (10% down post-Brexit) pound, I have convinced myself that the next lot of car deals may not be quite as cheap.
