Great price for a camelbak, although Tesco's £11.99 one works better for me. This doesn't have any capacity for other bits and pieces does it?

Excellent! Just ordered 2, one for me and one for my wife.

Hot!!

surely these things should be called sweaty back any exercise with a back pack ends up with a sticky back!

The £12.99 looks like it clips onto your rucksack ie does not have straps of its own.

oops looks like cooley is gonna have to cancel!

Great deal, heat added. Thanks. Have been looking for a CamelBak for a few weeks... Much cheaper than elsewhere.

Is this any good for hiking? I know it's on a cycling website.
Ideally, I want a backpack that will contain 3 to 4 litres of water.

How are they for beer? They might be useful for festivals.

Good, however only for the campsites / village... not allowed to take them into "arenas" since you arent buying their overpriced alcohol

cooley has already thought of this and is more than happy to place inside of his rucksack.

Thanks nice post, just ordered myself a new reservoir :-)

True, once you go through their controlled area you're locked in... but some festivals have ways around that. I can fill it at the bar, too

Just been on holiday, took my Camelbak. Absolutely superb. No issues with customs (even Israeli), walkthough empty, fill up other side of customs - no expense bottled water - result.

Just checked out the Tesco one and seems great for the price. Includes 1.5l bladder pack and separate compartments for small jacket, food, etc without being too big and bulky. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah saw the Gelert ones, coming in about £20 delivered. Doesn't look like there's much in it between them and the Tesco ones though, bar the 8 quid extra cost. I have a Camelbak Unbottle 2l from ages ago and could never find a suitable pack just the right size for it. Good product, but bit pricey considering the competition it has now.

Yeah I've been using the Tesco £11.99 one for a few years now... until it got mouldy the other week It's brilliant - it has 3 separate zipped compartments, and the bladder is in its own section. It may only have a 1.5litre bladder, but I've never drunk much more than 0.5ltr on a 2hr+ cycle. Can't recommend it enough! I think it used to be around the £10 mark, but this is still a great price.

It's a real shame though. Tesco's bladder is £12 on its own, so it makes sense just to buy another hydration pack for me, and I'll have to just find a new home for the rucksack...
