LKA20R had sadly expired, as has their Black Friday price match, but in the small print they do say they will retro price match up to 7 days post purchase, so I'm keeping an eye out on Friday.

You think there is better deals on Friday ?
Who knows? Black Friday is a bit of a con. The LG you have listed went very hot last month @ 329 because the £20 voucher was working then. I would not be surprised if it appeared again on Friday. I'll certainly be ringing them for a pricematch if it does. TBH £339 is a good deal for this, especially with the warranty. I'm just tight!

Wouldn’t wash my hands with it
LG in this price range is by far the best option..

if spending 500 or less is LG easily

Anyone has a better deal should post it

How does LG compare to Samsung for washing machines in peoples experience?

we had an LG for about 10 years never missed a beat on nearly every day, replaced it with a Samsung when the bearings went and a much more expensive machine, problems from the word go and they replaced it. Its replacement lasted 2 washes, got our money back and went for a new LG. On one call to Samsung I was on the phone 2 hours, and did not even get to speak to anyone who could help, in the end their CEO team sorted it out for us.

The free 5 Yr warranty offer expires on Saturday, so, if for eg there are no good Black Friday deals, or no stock, you might regret not biting.

Also, Currys offer a 7 day post-purchase price match which should cover you in the event of a good Black Friday reduction.
Just bought the 10kg version that's also on offer at Currys at £400, after a debate about whether that extra 1kg is worth the £50 more... I'm still not convinced.

£15 off code MDA15R 🏼

Thanks. Is this the best code available right now?
I'm looking to buy the 10kg one for £400 and the MDA15R code. Are all washing machines the same size in dimensions? I noticed it costs another £45 for curry's to deliver and remove your old one also so just bare that in mind guys.
Was tempted but FOUR Hours to do a 40degree wash!!

That's on the Cotton+ Eco setting. On the standard cotton setting it's about 1HR 35 on a full load at 60°. Although Quick 30 is designed for 2KG, it will work on a full load and takes 42 minutes at 40° and 1400 spin.

Was just about to buy this when I saw the long wash times. Can you just confirm a standard 30deg full load wash takes under 2hrs. Not to worried about the eco settings, more concerned with how long it takes to get through the full wash. Thanks

As well as the 14 standard wash programs, there's also the option download several more if you have an NFC equipped Android smartphone.

There are are several wash programs that will do a full load wash in under two hours. We normally use cotton 60° which dependent on the load of the weight takes between 1hr 20 min and 1hr 35 min. Best to check the manual for more info. It does say 96 mins for cotton 40° 9KG at 1400 so looks OK to me.

Bosch Serie 6 WAT28371GB 9Kg Washing Machine with 1400 rpm - White - A+++ Rated Vs the LG

With 20 percent Cash back on argos makes it 305 pounds roughly. It's advertised for 369 on Ao ?

Which machine do you think is better ?
Just wondering if this would work ?

It’s 14 percent cash back with Quidco on all online orders ?

Did anyone use this ? It’s exclusive today I think ..

Is it possible to use the voucher code for 15 with cash back ?

No - it looks like they just keep adding new time periods in which to register - on a rolling basis - and now they have added a new period to include today - so you're fine, and will qualify for the 5yr warranty.

We've had the 10kg version since Friday - the model that Which? marks down because it says it takes a long time, but the figures are the same or lower than other machines that Which? doesn't penalise - so I wouldn't trust Which? on this - it looks like another of their testing errors (it looks like they've taken LG's figure for a full 10kg load and compared it to figures for other manufacturer's performance washing a half-load).

We've run a number of 40 degree cotton washes and 30 deg washes and they've taken between 1hr20 mins and 1hr 40mins.

Thanks for that, it's coming tomorrow so should be able to test it out.
Has anyone been let down by Currys failing to deliver when they said they would? It's happened to me twice in the past, my mother-in law had a faulty washing machine delivered a fortnight ago which required a secondary delivery, and today my sister in-law got a call this morning to say the LG Washing machine has been damaged and would be rescheduled for delivery on Sunday.

Not sure how they managed to damage because it's in a sealed by box with polystyrene padding.

I hope they weren't telling porkies with the driver being off sick because whenever a failed delivery occurs (had problems with Argos too) it always seems to take nearly a week or longer before they can redeliver.

Anyone else had problems with Currys "Know Nothing" delivery service? It can't be a coincidence that I've just been unlucky, can it?
Edited by: "TheHun6" 7th Dec 2019
I've just heard of another failed delivery to the point I can no longer recommend ordering large items for delivery from Currys, because from personal experience they are far too consistently unreliable. You only have to look at the hundreds of complaint comments on their Facebook page. A pity really, as in the previous decade, they were much better.

As an alternative, why not get it from here instead and get Appliance City to price match with the discount code?

My delivery is scheduled for Monday I ordered last week.. i am already worried as I’m on the 4th floor so hoping they don’t cause any drama as a two man team to carry it up the the stairs. I will obviously go down to help them so team of 3.

If they do cause any drama I will just reject delivery

I had 31 pounds of curry’s cash back tracked so hope it all goes well.
319 + my nectar points

Good luck. If they let you down, you know the next best alternative. Appliance City gets 5 stars on TrustPilot so customer service shouldn't be an issue.
