A pretty bad film but if you like it, can't go wrong for under £4 for a blu ray copy.

Next cheapest is Blockbuster at £6.94

After sleeping with Charlie (Dane Cook), many women find true love, later swearing their brief encounters with Charlie were what brought them good luck. Charlie tries to enjoy the benefits of this reputation, but when he meets the girl of his dreams (Jessica Alba), he's forced to re-examine whether it's a blessing or a curse.

Abysmal film on an overrated (and in this case pointless) format. But those valid points dont count in the HUKD universe because it's a cheap Blu-Ray, and therefore 'hot'!!! Cheap Bly-ray! Yay!!

sob....

True this film is abysmal but if someone wants it, then its a good price. As for blu ray being overrated, do you actually own a blu ray player? the difference in quality between blu ray and dvd is obvious in the majority of cases (unless they screw up the transfer).

Its a simple question, would you rather watch the film in a higher resolution with a better quality audio track? Most people would say yes, but then I guess you must be 'special'.

Don't actually mind this film, though wouldn't say it is "good" as such... as for the format, well that's a matter of personal preference I guess. Personally I love blu-ray's quality (apart from bad transfers as mentioned above, such as full metal jacket IMO) and even better that you can get the movie plus extras on one disc in most cases as opposed to the 2/3 discs in dvd and worse quality movie to boot. But if you're happy with dvd quality, then fair enough... and to be fair some dvd players/ps3 have great upscaling abilities and on some smaller screens is hard to tell the difference between dvd and bu-ray.

Cheap blu-ray?? It's just £4 wasted on a sorry piece of plastic that'll be coming to a Poundland near you shortly...

Anyone know who amazon are price matching?

This almost ranks alongside the 'upscaled DVDs are just as good as blu rays', 'putting old films on blu ray is pointless' and 'blu ray will be dead in 2 years cause of downloads' comments. If you like the movie, then £4 is good, but most people are aware that this is pretty bad and, like Gamer, deserves to be in the sub-fiver department.

It was'nt a bad film. I had a few laughs but I won't be watching it again. £3.97 for a blu ray is just wow!

unfortunately you can with this one

Ok, let me clarify. I meant overrated and abused format.
From a technical standpoint, Blu-Ray delivers. But if I bought a CD, which then took a minute, maybe longer to load, then subjected me to 15 samplers from other artists, whilst conveniently locking out key controls on my CD player, I'd be pretty p1ssed off. DVDs are guilty too of course, but BR takes it to a whole new level. The Disney\Pixar discs are unbelievable. It's little wonder so many people rip their content onto storage, to get rid of all the bilge.

Big_Jim83, why did you use the term 'special' in a derogatory manner?

Please explain, for the benefit of all forum members, including those who may have learning or visual impairments.

Well quite simply I meant you must be one of these wonderful people who make ridiculous comments about blu rays (as shown by other peoples comments) and are in the minority of not enjoying better picture and audio quality. Totally not meant in a derogatory manner but then if thats how you want to perceive it for politcal correctness sake then go ahead.

Also, the blu rays I have used have never taken more than a few seconds to load. With the samplers/trailers most of the blu rays I have don't have them and as you say it is mainly the disney ones but these can easily be skipped.

I just don't see why you keep thinking blu ray is overrated, but then everyone can have their own opinion.

Under £4 for some HD Jessica Alba is always a good thing but on the down side the film is rubbish.

Voted hot though

Up to £7.47 now
