    Never in Grimsby
Might as well just plug a potato into your tv. Probably better sound quality.

So I'm assuming you've got one then and they are not all that? More info might help other people.

I think it contains the relevant chip.

Discontinued meaning it's the last one left in the whole country.
Probably rubbish for use on TV, but would make a half decent Bluetooth speaker say for the kitchen, above the units?

    20w? Good lord
Would it work with the peel remote though?
£5 good spot and good post OP Thanks ....The 20w output is subjective as it has many placement options being Bluetooth enabled and 'cheap as chips'

I don't need a sound bar I just have a couple of pringles tubs stuck over the speakers on my tv and it works better than a 1000W speaker.
    Is the potato wifi enabled?

    Good point.
Has anyone found this in another B&M store? Tempted to take the chance for £5 as my TV's speakers are poor and the soundbar seems to have average to good reviews online.

Chips oddly, after reading this thread
Even at £5 I think this is poor value - I found it to be an absolute steamy pile with awful sound (my tv speakers had far more bass, clarity and less hiss) and a remote that couldn't be bothered half the time! Oh, and the EQ settings (such as they were) would reset themselves constantly. Keep your receipts!

For balance though there are plenty of other thoughts and opinions on HUKD

    For example:

    Linky

    This or the Yamaha YSP-5600??
Honestly, this isn't even worth £5, it is the worst sound bar going, you are literally better of with the TV sound!

Completely agree, awful awful sound bar!
    It's £5...it's not gonna be great, but it's £5!!
I had a £100 Phillips one with separate sub and the sound was lame. Recently bought a Goodmans Sound Base (was wary with it being Goodmans) and it's great.

I agree its only a fiver, but I still don't think its worth it, given that it made my TV sound worse rather than better, hence, in my opinion, I would suggest people don't even bother with it.

    None in Bolton
I have owned one of these for a few months. Paid £40 for it. It's actually very good in my opinion and for a fiver it's a no brainier. The only issue I had is that it's quite thick so it obscure the remote sensor on the TV. So I had to improvise a raised to stand. But honestly it's as good as some more expensive bars.
