Good luck with that one. As soon as the £1 price label goes on the shelf the staff will have them all.

Easier said than done when staff are in the know before the customer about price change.

Staff don't go round changing the labels til at least mid morning. There's a barcode price checker on the B&M app anyone can use.

They are first in the know head office sends the information down. Staff shouldn't be so greedy they only get a decent benefits package, 10% off at B&M & Heron Foods.

Price information is available to anyone, the only privileged information staff have access to is a targeted list of what's changed and stock levels in their store. Staff have to perform their duties, it's explicitly written in their contract that they aren't allowed shop for themselves on company time, you can get the jump on them.

That's what member's of their families are for then, basically?.

There's MANY a time over the Year's that I've been shopping at various TESCO branches in different parts of London, I've seen longgggg a$$ queues in certain corner's of the store, ALREADY in anticipation of certain alleged 'discounted stuffs'.

Stuff's of which the majority of the public were NOT aware of, but guess who's family members rather were though?.

So, hmmmmmmmmmm, yes, it's still possible for it to still happen, or whatever ...

But you'd hope they would make 'allowances', so that the regular Joe public can also get some dibs in, etc. :-)
Is this tracker thing any good though?, or ... thanx.

Tesco is very different to B&M, they probably have 100 times the turnover and footfall. Every product has to earn its shelf space, if it's not selling it gets maybe a small discount then if it still doesn't sell it gets punted back into the warehouse to go on clearance at a later date. Extra overtime is specifically allocated to work the clearance stock so a lot of staff know that it is happening.

B&M stock just stays on the shelf until it sells, if it doesn't sell then it gets reduced to half price, then £1, then 10p. This happens on an ongoing basis, it's usually one staff member going round with a trolley and a few sheets of A4 paper on a clipboard. The only big reduction events are on seasonal lines.
