Goodmans GSPK30IP Weather Resistant iPod Speaker / Docking Station £24.99 @ Play

Goodmans GSPK30IP Weather Resistant iPod Speaker / Docking Station £24.99 @ Play

Found 2nd Jul 2010
Bought this when millarcat posted it at £29.99 four weeks ago. Now with another £5 off (obviously). It's so awesome for drowning out the neighbour who was driving me mad in the back garden by continuously alternating between Hanson and Rufus Wainright! WTF?

Great sound quality (for what it is), good volume, looks good and easily achieves its stated battery time even at loud volumes. Haven't used it with an Ipod so can't comment on its effectiveness as such. Can't recommend this enough!

Remember QUIDCO!

Looks perfect for the caravan n camping ........ just what i needed ......... Thanks
seems a bargain for £24.99. may get it for my i phone as ive got a 3.5mm jack output lead for it. hopefully will work. thanks op, missed it at £29.99, lucky for me as I probably would have got it then.
Looks quality mate - been looking for something like this for a while but been put off by the price of similar items (these are still listed at £50 on flee bay).
This is still in stock at this price - an amazing bit of kit - very loud. Felt like I'd got water in my ears after we tried it out indoors (a smallish room) on high volume - great for outside. Bigger than we expected - like a small bucket - very well designed. Recommended.

It's not terribly light - probably due to the large battery it contains. (It charges ipod on the move as well BTW.) Instructions don't give much detail on how best to maintain battery - not sure how easy it would be to find a replacement either.

But at this price it's definitely a bargain. Very well designed and ipod touch fits snug. (Suitable for other ipods too, and other mp3 players can be plugged in at the side. So more waterproof for ipods I think.)
I've just ordered one of these and was about to post on here but it looks like it's been on offer for a few weeks.
They are still in stock and the reviews on give it a good write up
Perfect cheers mate! Ordered one today still in stock, 3.5mm jack into my notebook to play spotify in my garden wohoooooo yeeeeehaaaaaaaaaa!
Just arrived, top bit of kit, goodmans still making quality products, shame there rep doesnt live up to what they do!
Think of it as a giant XMI mini.

All portable speakers should come with rechargeable packs as standard (then we could perhaps eventually get a replaceable standard design), hot.
Got mine today. Justified it as someone's birthday gift after I'd had a play. My thoughts...

This thing is SOLID, not the hollow plastic stuff you expect from the price bracket (and sadly get all the way up to Bose). The handle is satin finished metal, all the buttons are water resistant rubber, mounted in a gloss black bezel, the middle is wrapped 360 in black metal speaker grille (two cones visible through the front), and the base and feet are rubberised gray plastic and house a giant VRLA battery. Yes, a lead acid battery pack, this explains the weight and quoted the 8 hour battery life for a 30 watt portable.

Uses a 15V power brick, when it's plugged in, it will charge your iPod as well as the speaker, it won't drain itself when your out and about by constantly topping up your iPod, which is ideal.

2x15 Watt - it's loud, you can max it out if you tweak your EQ the bass gets a bit much when you crank it. Not that much high end, you can compensate for in your players EQ settings too.

It worked perfectly with a nano 2g and 4g, all the buttons control the iPod menu functions without having to remove the splash guard. Also fine with my iPhone 2G but it's too big to put the cover on.

I have to say I'm almost wishing I bought two... Play is now back up to £84.99, a brilliant deal that I suspect most people weren't aware of.

You can still get these on the 'bay and Amazon market traders have the white Grundig version, but none as cheap as Play's price was.
