This 42" set has FULL 1080p panel and has lots of raving reviews over at AvForums .

Product Overview : Super thin TV panel technology | HD Ready for highest image quality | High brightness 500CD/m2 screen | 1000:1 contrast ratio | 1920 x 1080 screen resolution | Distortion free, flat screen picture | Anti-reflection screen coating | Twin SCART for in-home connectivity | 2 x 15W NICAM stereo sound | NICAM Digital stereo sound

what a fantastic find n0chex. I agree about this set being exception on paper at least. Its the only sub £1000 set that can do 1080p properly. Bargain as a pc monitor with full 1920x1080 resolution over dvi and vga.

I'm so tempted by this i can hardly contain my wallet.

Here's the AV-Forums thread for the LCD in question, it's almost 100pages long so perhaps read the last 10-15 for the latest views

I've had this set for about 3 weeks now and I must say its fantastic. Does 1080p over HDMI, VGA, DVI and Component and looks good as well. I'm sending my set back to LXDirect and buying one from Currys (it had a slight problem with backlight buzzing). The only real downside is the lack of inbuilt freeview.

The Goodmans badge peels off real easy too!

Currys have now put the price up to £1099. Voucher still works but its not quite as good a bargain as before.

Still showing as £999.00 here

When you add it to the basket it rises by £100...

Not sure if this should be posted as a separate new deal but I spotted on a google search that Dixons were offering the same TV for £999 with a code to bring it down to £899. When I went to the site, the TV is being advertised for £1099 much like Currys but the discount code "GD60" seems to still bring it down to £899 !!!

Can't get rid of the delivery charge of £29.99 though unless someone knows a code that will get free delivery from Dixons?

So the total is £928.99 and even less with Quidco 2.5% or if you are lucky, use an Egg Card to get instant 5% off that IIRC.

So could be as low as £882.54 from Dixons with an Egg Card which is still not quite as good as the original Currys Deal but this seems to have disappeared for the moment.

damn, they have put their price up

Doesnt look like the Dixon code works anymore either :-(

Hello aspick & ric9887, welcome to HotUKDeals.

I'll click expired on this deal if it seems to be over then...
