Of course it's not going to be as good as the average Samsung/Sony/Toshiba.
But you would be paying more for one of those.

That is seriousley cheap for a branded 32" TV

The contrast ratio is very poor too - cold from me sorry

Good price = hot not cold surely or am I missing something?

Where is at a lower price or similar model at a lower price?:whistling:

The Morrison's deal is better right, albeit 50 quid more expensive?

OR this one ebuyer.com/pro…062 though its unbranded

Garbage TV - if you can't afford a better one, wait until you can - TV's are like beds - you spend an awful lot of time in front of them / on them so don't scrimp on em...

Looked at this earlier, only 1 HDMI and is awkwardly placed so swapping devices (i have at least 2/3) would be very annoying.

would be ideal for the bedroom though surely?

I love some posters who look at a 32" telly for sub £250 and expect it to have great reviews, have great specs, have loadsa inputs etc.

It is what it is - a cheap, entry level 32" telly for not many notes!

Yeh - specs arent brilliant, name is pretty crap, and few inputs - but for goodness sake, its a 32" LCD for £240. I think some people want the world on a plate, and would complain at full price!

Hot from me OP

Hot from me...perfect for a bedroom

Absolutely - gutted really, I've just bought a 19" for the bedroom otherwise I would have been all over this like a rash.

It's a good deal for the price, but personally i'd try to locate 1 of these : richersounds.com/pro…350

Only £30 more(surely you could find this from somewhere) and a much better TV.

PS - I voted hot.

I dont know what the quality is like or if there are any problems with this tv, so i wont be judging it hot or cold, however even a cheap 32 inch is not worth this price if the tv does not deliver.

i agree !! i should have enough for a colour tv by about 2011 fingers crossed !!

The avergae joe just wants something he can get freeview through and plug a console, dvd player or sky box into. That is all. No its probably not gonna get 5 stars in what hi fi, but realistically it will be fine. Plug a PS3 or other HD source into it and it will be as good as anything else to most people.

Just buy an automatic HDMI switcher, loads of 3 way ones on ebay for under a tenner.

goodmans is a poor brand name

Nice price for 2nd tv hot

Who remembers Harry Enfields "Don't", the annoying father in-law who was always negative about everything?? "You don't want to buy one of those, buy a Sony, much more expensive"

Evz1974;7952106

You do alot of bed watching then?

Bloody Hell.

It's a good price for a HDTV. Does the average man care too much about contrast ratio's and the like?

At least psb07158 posted a deal in a similar range for a better TV, the rest just moaning that it doesn't compare to top spec TV's....

Heat added.

Was thinking of going for the Bigpockets deal but i'm glad I waited now, thanks OP

From the sound of it, the psu board may be prone to failure and therefore unless you buy an extended warranty you may find in 18 months its only fit for the tip. With Richer Sounds offering a five year guarantee for only 10% of the purchase price and inhome servicing for 32" sets or above it would make much more sense to find a deal at Richer Sounds on a higher quality set. Goodmans rebrand televisions that they purchase in bulk from very low cost manufacturers like Vestel in turkey. The vestel sets are basically low cost chinese parts assembled around a decent screen possibly samsung. In this instance I'm definitely in the pay a little bit more for something better camp.

Good on ya m8, I can sleep easy now knowing you're not buying one!!

I have very similar looking 22" Goodmans in bedroom - fine for that TBH but freeview tuner can be abit flaky at times (slow to change channels, occasional lockups) - but as before for the price paid to be expected.

It's only a good price relative to the quality of the product.

I'm not saying this is a good or bad product because I don't know, but being cheap doesn't automatically make something a hot deal.

'Use the code AW10 to get this price 3% Quidco makes this £232.79 '

Be careful of using voucher codes and expecting Quidco to pay cashback - if you only get 1 of them, determine which gives you the better deal.

If it's cheap compared to the going rate then as far as I'm concerned it is a deal in the meaning of the word. It's up to the individual to decide whether they want to pay more for a supposedly better make, but in my experiance the cheaer products end up being just as reliable as the so called top range names. If you're a badge snob then that's also you're choice.

I've used codes in the past with Quidco and they both pay out always.

I've had various Goodmans products before and have always been let down. Personally I'd spend the extra to get a recognised brand
