Bloody hell, cant believe amazon are going tyres. Thats cheap. Good tyre, good price.

So close - if they'd been 195/55/16 I'd have been treating my Datsun to new boots all round at that price.

Hot from me.

HOT!

Surely you're get away with 205's or is a classic car and you want to keep to original spec?

Datsun? :-) Brill blast from the past! Reminiscing of my 240z days... 205s would fit surely? Next time I need tyres I'd definately look again at Tyre Leader. Saved a wad in my winter tyres and far more choice than any local dealer. Good price on these though.

Hot from me, were you looking for tyres on Amazon or just come across them somehow......

I would like to if I had the space and the cash

Wow that's cheap for branded tyres. Out of curiousity, would any companies let you send online tyre orders to their place and fitted for a fee?

Brilliant tyres too! Had these on my Mazda for the last 20,000 and still going strong (on the front).

hard to say you would need to ask your local garage if they would do that im sure some would

dammit, need 50 profile

Mytyres has them listed for £3 more delivered, or £68 fitted, so yes a pretty good deal. My last set of loose tyres got fitted for £10 cash per corner, but finding someone to fit them does seem to be getting harder (something about carcass disposal being expensive?). I just put the tyres in the boot and back seat, and took the car to get them fitted.

A 205 tyre should fit in place of a 195, it's often worth doing as some peculiar sizes can be quite expensive (as you've probably found). My old Cavalier had such a strange tyre size that I could get a set of alloys with a 'normal' tyre size for the same price as the 'strange' tyre size (same brand tyre).

Think you would need to ask your local garage

awesome tyres, had these fitted for a year now and have so much grip. Hardly any signs of wear after 6000 miles

Halfords can fit them at the branches that have the facility,
If you buy tyres from Asda, usually Halfords do the fitting.

Same tyre from Asda are £67.72 fitted.

These Bridgestones are cheaper?

Bridgestone Turanza

These are 2nd place in the 2014 Autoexpress tyre review for the size. autoexpress.co.uk/acc…014
1st place tyre, the Dunlop Sport BluResponse 205/55 R16 is presently £54.69 at tyreleader (mine were £51.09 in Oct)
I've struggled to get a tyre swap (including balance and old tyre scrapped) for less than £14 meaning you're as well saving the hassle and letting Blackcircles fit them for £67.99 each.

Ford Focus MK1 by chance? Stupid size that always costs about double this fitted for branded.

The 55 is a percentage of the 205 width. 55 percent of 205 is 112.75 mil. 50 percent is 102.5 sidewall size so not an awful lot in it

I need 255 65 17s for my navara. fuel economy on my 4x4 tyres is crap...although there is a Bridgestone tyre that's rated C for efficiency!

Adds about 3% to the rolling circumference. Also I currently have a Mk1 Focus and a Mk3 Focus. Both have 16" wheels with 205 tyres. Yes you guessed it one has 50 and the other 55 profiles. 5% doesn't sound a lot but it looks it.

I take your point and technically your right. But als a new tyre is about 9 mil so if you ran it dwn to 1.6 is a difference of 7.4 which is nearly as much as the difference between the 2 profiles
