Pretty decent price - Blackcircles quoting the same but they want £12 delivery on top!

Tell me if you can get it cheaper as I'll bite their hands off!

Similar prices for similar spec Goodyear EfficientGrip - this fits my BMW 320d.

based on edge21's advice & research (and my own research!), I have also recommended another deal which is perhaps better value

It's a good price but the delivered price at BC includes fitting at least for me it does and most places round our way it's £15 fitting so BC is an ok price. I know there will be some places around the country who fit for a fiver.

Is this one any better?

ah, you're right! My boys are in the fiver camp provided there's something else going on such as oil service or MOT so I should be OK

get a subaru and f??k the tyres :))))

If any use to yourself, Protyre and use discount code "MAWEBTYRE3" for £15 off a pair which works out to be £112.01 inc fitting.

protyre.co.uk/

Just noticed they also have this offer going on. (not looked at T&C's yet)

Had these, looked like they were underinflated - weak sidewalls, I would go for hankooks or falkens good reviews..

yep it was worth a look, thanks

ultimately nearest fitting station a bit inconvenient & the £10 cheque back (on a pair) still made it 'no better' than Amazon + a fiver a corner to fit by my local lads

not much in it, though

I use F1autocentres , I've had these on my old Honda Civic, currently it is fully fitted with valves balancing and disposal for £56.20, worth a look

No worries. I'm Northern Ireland and well zero fitting stations on that site for over here, hence the not bothering looking any further into those T&C's.
Though ty for the post as noticed they got my size (285/30/R19) also pretty cheap at £142 so now my own search starts!

Excellent price for fitted, nearest fitting centre is in Bristol which is 2 hrs' drive away! thanks

Great grip on these but weak sidewalls and quick to wear out.

Really depends on what you fitting them onto, driving style and roads you normally driving upon. On previous car (Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde) during my ownership from new it had Pirelli P9's, Continental Premium Contact 2's and a set of the above. The Goodyears got 2K over and above the rest. Profile of 70% country roads, 30% A-class/Motorway with "Spirted" driving.
Current set, Pirelli Pzero's on an Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and looking to be at present around 6K from the rears.

And of course your street cred.....

Would these fit the alloy wheels posted yesterday?

Had these delivered for fitting elsewhere and I agree the sidewalls are soft as....Good grip but they didn't last long and I do 16k to18k miles a year in my main car alone. Bought some cheap Triple A tyres for mud and snow and they've proved better overall.

Great grip on these but weak sidewalls and quick to wear out.

That probably explains the constant feeling of sliding sides to side on these. Got them as wanted to try something different to the continental contacts that wore out really quick but wouldn't get them again.

I'm actually going to stick my pair in the shed in case I need them for the MOT coming up soon - last time @ MOT they said I needed 2 new tyres so just got them from the garage I was at, not these but some cheapies, which was not such a brilliant idea as not much cheaper than this for 2x inferior tyres

I certainly haven't experienced 'slide' or poor durability but my driving does tend to be on motorway/ dual carriageway which I guess is easier on the tyres

I personally think the Michelin CrossClimate is a superior tyre: better ride quality, lower noise and better steering feel as well as the cold weather benefits and with no penalty in wear rate or fuel economy.

I spent ages researching tyres for the exact same size! Read lots of reviews and ended up opting for the Hankook Ventus Prime 3. My Audi has never handled so well! Very quiet too. Kwik Fit were recently selling them for the same price as these (fully fitted). Have some heat though! Great price for this model of tyre.

that's a good tip - they do review extremely well indeed

not at that price @ KF now but you can get them for £43 delivered (mytyres.co.uk + TCB 4%)

somebody else is welcome to stick up a deal as that a good tyre @ a great price

A for grip/ C for fuel efficiency (vs A/B on mine, nothing much in it)

Great, where can we buy them for 50 quid a throw?

I do like these tyres... If the michelinsa are quieter, then they must be silent, these are one of the quietist tyres I've had.
Don't fit them any more as the Avons I fit are a better price whilst still being good tyres for the size I need, but on my old Mondeo, loved these tyres.
Yes, sidewall is a bit soft, but I had no real issues with wear (maybe my driving style, but I do a LOT of miles...), but they DO do a stiffer side wall version (XL, extra load) but obviously, these cost more...

I bought a full set, fitted at Costco for under £180 in their last Michelin promotion.

I posted in October but 91H, at a very similar price. I regretted not going through black circles slightly more expensive but less when I'd paid about £25 for fitting and balancing and that was after a few phone calls to different places. A lot of people have said about weak side walls etc but I've done about 8000 miles in them and can't fault them, good grip, still plenty of tread on them, I can see them doing me for a couple more years

I agree-as these are summer tyres... Winter tyres are a different deal-I can get 2 Falken Ultra High Performance road tyres delivered for £107.26 on e-bay-If you're serious about summer/winter tyres (I have three seperate sets of wheels & boots for my main car), then you ought to have a tame mechanic-I shall take the 2 rear wheels with a new pair of tyres in to my chap in March next year when my MOT's due, and he won't even charge me £5.00/corner!.. This is because he gets enough business off me during the course of a year to make it worthwhile for him... If you're not serious about winter/summer tyres, you shouldn't be buying these anyway, as they won't work well in winter conditions, despite the 'A' wet-grip rating-they also lose points for their spelling-Goodyear may be a US company, but in this country, we don't recognize 'tire' as correct English...

It depends on what ,how and where you drive.
They rate very well for quietness and wet grip

I second this, got these on mine at the moment and I constantly think they are under inflated even though when i go to check the pressure its still sitting at 36psi

These seem to wear out really fast.

depends what you mean by fast - I'm getting 25,000 miles but have had better, to be sure

I guess with the A-rated grip, more of the tyre is in contact with the road = slightly shorter life

25,000 miles life not too shabby, IMV - esp if it means you hold the road better in the wet

Toyo: fair price for a non-premium tyre - giving C/B on fuel efficiency/ grip vs B/A on theGoodyear so not such a good tyre, even if possibly 'better value' as £7 cheaper

the tests to get the fuel efficiency & grip data are very rigorous & controlled - so reliable

A - B - C or worse mean a lot with the European tests - your recommendation Toyo is weaker than my Goodyear for those measurements

sidewalls is more individual but never had a problem

when they say weak sidewalls, what exactly do they mean? it's not as if the tyre goes poof on a speed bump, more that it sits lower than some other tyres = comfy ride

Weak sidewalls means wobbly ride and that tyres are prone to damage ...think it's much more important than little difference in EU labelling + Goodyears cost 20% more. Please check comments on one of previous deals for this tyre:
