Then I believe the error is in the fact that it wasn't pointed out within the body of the OP's Deal somewhere that it was for the newer Chromecast Ultra 4K Model (which, if I'm not mistaken, goes for at least £40 each, at the best of times?), as opposed to the big standard Chromecast 2 (which has been out, for a number of year's already, as you quite rightly pointed out ... )

If the schematics of the above had been clarified by the OP, I believe they would have probably gotten a very hot deal out of it - perhaps?).

As for having the Chromecast 2 for only £15 over the holidays?, WOW!, how, when, and who with? (and all that?, lol), I have 2 Chromecast 2's already - from previous cheaper HUKD Deal's on here, going back perhaps/almost 1.5 year's back now, so I'm fine (but getting a fresh one for ONLY £15 this time? - I'd DEFINITELY BITE at that?!, shame I missed it ... ) :-(

I've commented via HUKD before (at some point going into somewhere around, or before the last quarter of last year), that these/those Chromecast 2 Device's SHOULD be wayyyyy CHEAPER, wayyyyy than even.then they currently were, etc etc?.

As even last year, they were still knocking about at £30 then, so why £30 for the same Product still? - I was in a PC World Store only last night, and their Chromecast's were £30 each, despite the Device's obvious aging timeline? (I give it to Amazon, Google, and SKY for their NOW TV Device's, who collectively really know how to set/fix the Market price, for their respective Products - despite each of them collectively having Products of their own that are at least 2-3 years old each ... )

On a closing note, hopefully newer Products by the above should help beat any necessary prices down a bit? (hopefully?). :-)

This is a Chromecast Ultra:

google.co.uk/sea…512

So, unless Tesco have now changed the Product in the OP's original Deal listing?, then the one the OP linked to was rather the more standard Chromecast 2 HD variant instead:

OP .. good Deal though, as most places (even to date! - upto 3 year's later, are still selling these for £30 a pop!). :-)

Hehehehehe, that's true, I was simply re-clarifying it, no big.

What of the other thing I queried also?.

When and from where, was the Chrome ever £15 each?. :-)

chromecast audio was 15 a few times last year
chromecast regular was about 18 late november and dec (search HUKD and you'll find it)
chromecast ultra was basically never on a sale. I snagged one from ebay for 40 new, after a 10-off voucher. Worth 40 but would never pay more than that
I'm too deep in the google ecosystem now (nest, home mini, chromecast ultra, chromecast audio) that I'll pretty much be buying whatever they release.... when it goes on sale... except for the awful pixel phones
