Been waiting for this to come down again, ordered two many thanks.

Nice one, thanks.

Are these simple to use - just plug in and go I assume?

Excellent product and price already got 8 as like to kit out the rooms of house and play to zones like upstairs. These are great with amps especially or straight into a speaker. Can't go back to Bluetooth nowadays. They can use an optical cable if your amp can take it. The frequency range is better than see with Bluetooth and you don't get the annoying interruptions from your phone if get notifications.

Does anybody know how to play uploaded files from play music using voice commands. Works fine if I start playing and cast it manually, but if I say ok Google play some (insert favourite artist here) it says this isn't available in my location.

Great little device. I have one plugged into a DAC with an optical lead. Streamed music sounds really really good. Apparently this can handle high res audio too.

Of course, one of these, a half decent amp and a new Google home mini would make an incredible setup.

i have found these to have a short life after six months sound degrades and i have had to turn up the volume on the amp and one just stopped working great product i ordered more for redundancy is that why you have bought two more?

Does anyone know if Maplin limits maximum order of promotional items per customer?

These were £15 last black Friday for those that can wait. Little disappointed that they didnt combine these in the Home mini's.

Still great for those with existing speakers looking for a Sonus like setup on the cheap.

I have one of these and it frequently just stops working for extended periods, like it's losing contact with the router. But the router is only about 11' away with nothing much in the way and other devices connect without a problem in that location.

This is a great price if it works for you, but I'm disappointed in it despite high expectations initially.

These are great now they appear to have sorted the issues with BT routers !
Anyone have any idea why the volume is so low when I'm casting to one from Amazon music via Google Home?I can't find a setting anywhere to change it and it's fine and dandy via Plex etc

Bought! Thanks to the OP.

Question !
Can I stream mp3s i have on my hard disk which I play with windows media player ?
Or is it just for music apps like spotify ???

How do you get it to cast from Amazon Music via google home?

OOS

These are a great idea and work well initially. However am finding that the app (TuneIN radio Pro and Deezer) often lose control over the music that is playing and you need to go in to the Google home app to stop music playing. This mostly happens when using devices grouped together.

Speaking of Sonus, does a standard Sonus setup suffer from similar form's of degradation/retention/attenuation etc, in the same/similar way to that of what's being described here by some people?, or ...

Unless it's me confusing the setup e'engines' of two very different animals, or whatever? :-)

Genuine question, just curious, thanx.

How do you get it to cast from Amazon Music via google home?

You can't till Amazon make their app compatible. Works with Spotify & deezer and obviously Google music. Don't forget you can upload 50k of music to Google music and use for free. Amazon only allow 1k.

Cant comment as I dont really use it in a multiroom setting ( although I do have it in multiple rooms) its just that its bad enough with two teenagers playing their music without me blasting mine out in every other room. What I use it for is streaming music in rooms where I dont have my audio equipment and its better than bluetooth as there isnt the loss of quality or interruptions that you get from bluetooth. Its going to have some compromises over a sonas set up as its a fraction of the cost. However I dont find sonos as good as my old hifi so if I want quality I would just use that.
