You can only claim if the price is lower on Black Friday (24th November), not any other day.

Did you read the terms that were quoted on the link?

"Customers will have to report the price difference within 14 days of the purchase. They will need to provide proof of purchase and show us that the product was purchased between 15-23 November 2017 and available cheaper at Argos on Black Friday (24 November 2017). We will refund the difference once we have confirmed the price is valid."

Is there a big difference between this and the Amazon echo, is one better than the other?
I'm a bit of a novice with this stuff.

I'm the same, but leaning towards the google home as reviews suggest that it's a better speaker & understands speech better.

Go to Twitter and DM them your order number, price you paid and the current price. They should sort you out

Yes much better sound quality and deeper bass. Perfect if you plan on using it in a main room for listening to music. The mini does have great sound but not as loud and doesn't have as much bass.

Can I listen to the radio using this?

Cam you connect this to a better speaker

If you're going to do that then you might as well just get the Home Mini for £34.

Both can be connected to better speakers.

but it doesnt have a 3.5mm jack / bluetooth out

but it doesnt matter i suppose....i think i need a chromecast audio for it do that...

ive got the echo and trying it out but i think google is more future proof

I've got both but only had them a few days. I don't recommend the Google Home as I have found the sound quality awful. The bass is insanely overpowering and music distorts at anything above medium volume.

The Echo has far better sound although I would say that you need an Amazon music sub or Spotify to get the best out of it. You can listen to Tunein radio on it and you can play music from your phone via Bluetooth if you don't want to pay a sub. An echo only sub costs £3.99 a month and is worth it

In terms of answering questions and giving information the Home is a big step ahead. However there is a fairly simple hack to get Google assistant on your Echo and you just have to say Alexa, ask Google and away you go. So this more or less evens thing's up.

If sound quality isn't important to you and your more interested in the smart features then the Google Home Mini is a better buy than the full size one in my opinion.

Hope this helped.

If your going the Google Home route then a mini plus a Chromecast audio is the way to go. Like I said in my previous post I'm very disappointed in the sound quality of the full size Google Home.

In terms of the smaller smart speakers the Home mini is best. Couple it with a Chromecast audio and plug it in to your soundlink mini and you got a winning combination. Cheers :-)

Edited to add
I think the home can do most of what you seem to want but not sure it can talk to one note or set iOS reminders. I may well be able too it's just I don't use those things.

It's excellent for controlling lights and taking to your calendar and seeing reminders and alarms.
