If like me, you want a Google Home and a Home Mini, buy the Google home and a cheap computer cable like maplin.co.uk/p/m…9nn and then you should get £10 off the mini..?

(there is a cable for £1.10 but it's out of stock I'm my area)

Don’t see why not. As you have met the requirement of £80 spend.

5% quidco at maplin and argos

Anyone know how strict maplin are on average about NUS over student ID?

Turns out you can't use the voucher until December 1st..

Thanks op

Just been to Maplin and the staff said NUS 10% discount couldn’t be applied on all google products. So just the website price which is good as well

I assume so, I've just collected in store and it's been given to me on a receipt to use between 1st and 24th December in store or online.

Voucher is only valid after December 1st
Guy in store just told me
5% discount for students like me who didn't bother with nus extra this year because most of the benefits can be had on the unidays app for free with no extra card to carry around

That's a deal breaker then. Better off buying directly from Google for more colour options

That's very odd, because the 10% off offer in that picture the OP posted has a Google Home right there!

Yeah, I would ask them to call head office for that as it's some serious false advertising. I know they reacted to the DJI spark and specifically removed the student discount but this seems a bit odd and might be an overzealous store manager.

Sorry, I should have clarified, code given under the Ts&Cs - cropped out of my photo deliberately

"With any purchase in store or online between 15th November 2017 and 30th November 2017 inclusive, to use on your next purchase between 1st December 2017 and 24th December 2017 inclusive".

I suspect the home mini offer will be over by then

It looks like amazon echo is not in offer 69.99

I got a £1 flat led torch to make the Home purchase up to £80 for the voucher. Thinking I might buy a mini as well and then wait and see if it's worth a refund and re-buy to use voucher on a mini after Dec 1. Refunds actually allowed up until end of January on Christmas gifts

spoke to the local store and no they won't apply the NUS discount on any black friday deals.

NUS confirmed working in store. I bought 2.

How does one receive the voucher when ordering online? I just ordered something above £80 but there is no mention of the voucher on the confirmation email.

Thanks

Stop posting this in each deal, it is incorrect. Official Google site states support from Android 4.4 and up.

Some stores will give the NUS discount and some won't. Head office weren't too sure so I rang around and then went to a store that honoured it!

You should have bought them separately for 3 separate £5 off vouchers.

Thanks for your input.

What happens if you buy a Google Home (£79) + a pc cable (£1.27) so total £80.27 . Then use NUS 10% discount = £72.24.

Do you get a free £10 voucher because original total was over £80 or do you get £5 voucher .

Anyone know or tried? Thanks

Yes I'm keen to know this as well. Prob would have to spend another £10, to get the 10% discount and also still get £10 voucher. Would depend if I need anything for £10 for it to be worth it though. Always something.

Some shops I go to bend the rules and accept my student ID card, even though they usually ask for NUS. Others are stricter.

Just got one at 18:30 for £71.10 at Maplin Monument. They input your NUS number when you pay so I would expect they're on the strict side of student ID's.
