This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Pretty good bundle at the moment, the Hub alone took a drop to around the £79 mark in most of the bigger stores, so to have the 3rd Gen Chromcast thrown in for the same price seems a no brainer if you plan on picking one up anyway.

smarthomeuk are the sellers dealing with orders on behalf of Google, so should be all good. (Kondor Ltd T/A Google)

Good News:
Chromecast now supports Amazon Prime video, HURRAH!
It's been something we've been hoping to see for a while. In the words of Gabrielle "Now I'm ready to rise again" Oh wait... no "Dreams can come true" Joking aside, I for one am really glad to see this added.

Didn't think Amazon allowed Google Products on their site due to their ongoing rivalry?

I've seen it at £39 which was a Curry's price error and £26 which was an eBay scammer. Yet to see it anywhere at £59. The Chromecast is on sale most places at £20, so this is a very good deal. Heat.

Hasn't dropped to £59 at anywhere I know of. You must be confusing the Hub with the regular Home, which has been reduced to £59.

Great, don't suppose you have a time machine handy?
Other than the Curry’s/Ebay price error which got the hub down to (I think) £39.00, I haven’t seen it below £79.00 on it’s own
Great price.
How much would they offer for a brand new Chromecast in the CeX?
Great price cheers OP

Yep exactly that, but don't forget a lot of other retailers do try and jump on the bandwagon and will probably have their own versions of Prime Day. So like lettherebedeals said, it's possible we'll see similar deals next week

True, I will return mine to John Lewis as I didn't even open it hehehehe
Well with this my Google home and 6 minis I can count myself well and truly spied upon.
Can anyone vouch for the sound quality on these. It's meant to be worse than the mini?

That's the only thing stopping me from snatching this deal.
I've just had a £79 Home Hub delivered today from the BT Shop deal last week. Have opened it and set it up. Are they nice enough with returns?

If I buy this deal and refund the BT one, I'm never sure if I'm allowed to send the original shop the unopened unit I've bought elsewhere as a return. Different serial number etc could cause issues??
You'd think they'd prefer a new, sealed unit as opposed to my opened one being packed away again used and sent back, but I always send the opened one back and set up the new one to be on the safe side

I wouldn't say it's worse than the mini - it's definitely louder and has more bass, though I wouldn't want to use either for listening to music really. They're not as good as the standard Second Gen Amazon Echo for sound quality by a long way.

Currently £17 cash and £21 voucher.

I want to know also.
Does this have similar or hopefully better sound than the Home as I'd like to replace my home with the Hub but we play lots of music through the Home so don't want less quality and volume?

Think it's been settled. Amazon Prime can now be cast from a Chromecast and YouTube will be available on Amazon devices again.

Reading online reviews the consensus seems to be the sound quality of the hub isn’t it’s strongest point - somewhere between the mini & the larger home.

I did this with a phone and failed as they recorded the mac code, but check the box of the one you have, do they even have a unique code on the box?
Will John Lewis price match?

Don't think it has a camera, you don't actually put apps on the home. It runs from your andriod phone with the Google home app

I have both too and the Hub is much better, you can tweak a bit with the equaliser in settings with the Home app too.

No camera
I have a feeling we will soon see a massive drop in price for the home hub, must resist and wait a little longer.
The chromecast does nothing for me
The hubs replacement is coming 15th July. Nest Hub Max. It has a camera and a larger screen and speaker I believe. 219 quid RRP
Edited by: "scaryprowler" 10th Jul
Which can only mean that this version will see significant further drops.
This is a good deal if still in stock come midday tomorrow, as you would get 8 X nectar points on top

But that will be £220 compared to around £70 now, depends if it's really worth that much an outlay ontop.
