I've been on the lookout for a tea towel, thanks!

Me too, just couldn't find one for £79 that includes a free smart appliance.

In it for the tea towel the screen thing is going straight in the bin.
An expensive tea towel but the free home hub makes it worthwhile.

Can Apps be loaded onto the Home Hub from the Play Store?

No

Any self-respcting Hukder will have 17 of these tea towels already from all their new account orders
I think I'll wait for the new version of tea towel that is going to be announced in October.
Is the tea towel there to cover the cameras so Google can't spy on you?

Note that you are allowed max 2 per order. One will be free but the other charged at an extortionate 1p!

Get 2 and you will never be without your Ocado logoed towel on display while the other is the wash 😜

Nope review here techradar.com/uk/reviews/google-home-hub

You can make voice calls.

Echo show (amazon) has cam but Google decided against due to privacy concerns.... So you can act out the karma sutra in the bedroom without anyone being the wiser (unless you have kids and too noisy 😜)

Ah, now I don't really see a point to this device

With the way the comments were going I thought you were gonna ask if apps could be loaded on the tea towel.

I agree (my view might change once I fully research) but each to their own. Phones these days are more functional than these hubs. Smart TV also has some of the capability of these hubs.... Photos, video call, YouTube etc etc...... But u don't want a ruddy great 65inch in your kitchen showing step by step recipes 😜

4got to mention gr8 price tho. 🔥 OP

Tbh 65" screen sounds amazing!

But I agree older tablets seem more appealing than this.
No delivery to Glasgow area???

"Thanks for registering Unfortunately, we don’t deliver to your area just yet. We promise to let you know as soon as we do."

Poor show

Think of it as a photo frame / clock which is always ready to play music, stream radio and show videos off youtube.
Certain apps will let you cast to it from your phone as well.
It will also display google calendar appointments and reminders.
And you can make voice calls from it at no charge.

Sadly still pointless for me.
These are £60 odd on eglobal etc. I bought one last week, arrived in 4 days.
Nice. Been waiting for a while for this tea towel. Heat!
Can you use Spotify connect on this to control Sonos?
Also Ocado will take away your old carrier bags and give you 5p for each one (max 100 bags). Bag an additional £5 off if you have plenty lying around ...😜
Would I be able to have two tea towels and no hub at the same price?
