This should get hot! Cheers OP

Cheaper at Maplin if you have NUS. £34 seems to be the standard reduction at the moment

It's good to have alternatives, thanks Rob. For me, without NUS, there are more / nearer Currys branches than Maplins and the 2 year guarantee with Currys may swing it for some.

Cheers for this. Went through the Barclays app to get 10%cashback.

i want one but the fact that i cant connect it to a larger speaker via bluetooth is a massive downer for me. dont want to have to buy a chromecast.

Oh of course, I'm to trying to put down your thread. In fact I'll probably end up getting another one from Argos as it's literally around the corner from my work and more convenient driving out to a maplin

Same price direct from Google Play

yeh I agree, this was a super disappointing omission from Google - my Alexa dot connects to my stero amp on 3.5mm audio so I can ask it to play music. I would much prefer google assistant but the lack of ability to do this holds me back.

Stupid decision by google. Particularly as it has the Bluetooth hardware on board. They should have matched Echo capabilities, then added chromecast support. That would have made it a no brainer for everyone.

these can play music right out the speaker right?

If you're asking if it has its own speaker built in, then yes.

I got one of these from Argos, I don't know how I've lived without one. I've made a custom bracket and hung it just over 2m high in the kitchen ..links well with my shopping list and calendar, reminders are working and pushing through to my phone and streaming radio via tune in is also flawless..also surprised how natural you can speak to it
