It's usually £49 on Google's site as well as Argos. My memory often has it cheaper.

Usual price means usual offer, you can always find it for £29 if you are patient enough
Does Google Home do location based routines? Kinda bored waiting for Amazon to introduce this in the UK.
Its Oct 2017 vintage ... only the latest smart speaker technology from Google
Rubbish sound quality i'm afraid

What like, "How long to get to work?" Yeah it ill do that, if you have android phone etc. All your whereabouts are known.

I disagree. Good for what your paying. If you want a high end speaker, pay high end prices. For £25-50, it's perfectly fine. I don't have any issues while listening to the radio or Spotify.

It's better than most small dab radios, which is mostly what I use it for. It's perfect for the kitchen too. I've had mine 6 months and use it most days, which is more than I thought I would. Also you can cast music from your phone/ pc, if you don't have an active music subscription. And of course make free calls, what's not to like?

Can get add ons, I struggled with light switches as us in the UK do it different to Europeans. So it's easier to get the bulbs.

No, I mean.. Can Google Home detect when you arrive home? using the location of your phone to trigger an event. Eg. Lights turning on.

Alexa has this in the US, but we don't know when it's coming to the UK.
I've used IFTTT, but can't get it to trigger location based routines quickly enough to be beneficial.

These are all over the For Sale sites for £20 still sealed as loads have been getting them free.
You can find it cheaper on ebay

You can do this via IFTTT. I have several routines set up to turn lights on etc. as I arrive home. It isn't good enough to set a tiny area around your house. Need to enter an area say a mile wide (if driving) to make sure lights are on as you get home.

Yeah, I haven't had any success with Ifttt. More often than not, location triggers get delayed upto about 15 mins. Have fiddled with location update rates on Android and MacroDroid, but it just isn't consistent enough for me.

Cheers anyway
